But it IS REALLY ME! I have been doing this since 2004. Now the c&p stuff is on a myspace page. I have NEVER owned one nor do I have a facebook account or anything like that for that matter.
OP, please never ever ever travel outside of the US. Trust me, you won't enjoy it! Unless ofcourse you plan on never eating (or shopping, or interacting with people) while there.
Sent from my Xperia Z, please don't mind typos!
I agree, I don't like weird foods. I hate even trying new things. I usually end up not liking them.

Oh, my comment wasn't referencing her ongoing diatribe of the food service industry and their gross inadequacies, especially when filling a condiment cup, but rather the specific condiment pictured there.
Several of your points are contradictory. For example, you don't want the server to take your glass away. But, later you say you get annoyed when he/she refills on top of watered down drinks. The other option is bringing a second glass but I fear this will end up as a part of your diatribe later.
Also, we must go to different types of restaurants, b/c the ones I go to don't serve Ranch dressing in plastic containers, so that point is moot.
Beyond that, you need to relax.
While SOME of your points may be valid, they are a minor annoyance and not one to get my feathers ruffled over. For me, eating out is an experience. I want to relax, enjoy time with my friends and / or DH and not worry so much about every.little.thing.

I don't understand what you feel is contradictory, because it's not. What you said here is what I mean just like they do at Outback, Chili's, etc.:

You don't take the glass, you bring me a NEW GLASS, DUH! Especially if I just got served food or in the middle of eating, why would I want to choke while I wait for you to get my refill when you may have problems before you get my drink like customers call you over, an overdone steak that a customer sends back which should come before my refill since they ordered before I did, or changing the syrup, etc.
It may take my server much more time to get my refill while I sit and wait to eat. That's not good service at all.
At home, you can simply get up to get some more drink, but if you are a customer, you can't get it yourself, so you have to depend on your server. What if your server also has an emergency bathroom run of diarrhea or is pregnant so she has morning sickness.
It has happened where we asked for a refill, the server took my glass and had other customers call her over at another table. While she can't help that, she can help taking my only means of drink even if it's sucking on ice is better than no drink at all for that time being. Most people would agree with that and you know it!
