I still don't get it. It's rather large and bulky, no? Doesn't the specialness go away when everyone owns one?
I guess if it floats your boat...
By "everyone" do you mean maybe 20 people on an internet message board?
I've never seen the necklace on anyone in real life, and the closest J. Crew to me is two hours away. I like the style, I would never in my right mind pay $150 for the real one. I guarantee no one I see in my non-internet life will have this necklace as well. I don't have to worry about it being overdone or too popular where I live.

Where I live, people have no clue what J Crew is and they shop in pajamas. It's safe to say I wont encounter it in everyday life, but with my styling it will definitely be a unique look.

Everyone seems to forget that normal, regular, everyday people don't dress like fashion blogs. I live right outside of NYC and in a 'hipster' community & yet I still haven't seen anyone with it. There are plenty of J. Crew's around me.
I've seen several people (maybe 3 or 4 girls) wearing it in one night here in Chicago. And agreed, the specialness does ago away when you see so many people wearing it; but it also makes me wonder if they were crazy bitches who bought it for $150 or if they're smart and got it for less.
I originally posted on F&B TN that Factory had it and was set to buy until someone commented on the ebay one. Thank you, whoever you were back in April.
I've only seen 1 person wear it IRL, and I live in a large metro area with lots and lots of JCrews.
And as far as us caring about things being "unique" or special, just check out the thread about the stuff we've bought as a result of this board. I think we're all okay with not having everything we own be 100% unique. We all have our own style regardless of where we buy stuff and that's what makes the OOTD posts fun to read through.
I don't have one because I think it would look too big on me, but I think it looks cute on others, and love the way the ladies here that have it have styled it.
My hometown (border of IL/IA)'s closest J Crew is legit 3 hours away; and people are kind of trendy there (designer bags, jeans, Ulta, etc) and it's about 350,000 persons community. I'm not surprised that others don't have J Crew where they live.

This. I work out in the middle of nowhere but I still like to dress up and have fun with my outfits. I think that even if the whole damn world gets the same necklace, that it comes down to what they wear it with that will make it seem like a lemming item or a statement piece. My friends and I all have the Kendra Scott Danielle earrings but in different colors and we all have our own distinct fashion style. We also live in Austin, the Mecca of Kendra Scott and so you can't turn the corner without seeing somebody wearing a Kendra Scott piece. It's all about the styling.
I really have never seen anyone wearing in real person here at Ft Lauderdale/Miami area.
I got mine towards the end of LAST summer I believe before all this hype at Charlotte Ruse for 12.99. It looks like the one from Jcrew, I would never justify spending 150.00 for something as trendy as this necklace. But Im so glad I bought back then because its a very pretty necklace.
I am attaching a pic of mine if I figure how to use this application :/
