I miss long runs. I miss high weekly mileage. I hate my damn hamstring injury. I hate that I'm losing my job and until I find something I can't afford my ART so I have to keep my runs short just incase :-( FWP I need Godiva
You shouldn't feel like an asshole, you had a great run and the FIRST item in the title was AWs. I'm stoked for you!
Ditto Brit. You should never feel like an asshole for having a great run, and AWing it in a thread titled as such. I would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous because I fully admit I am, but its not in an "you're an asshole" way but more of a "yay for you! but I'm still a little jealous " way.
You are all so sweet. It wast last run before we go camping for 4 days (no running, but lots of hiking/geocaching) and I really happy it was a good one.
Here's a confession: i love workout tanks from Walmart. I hate myself for shopping there, but I love them.
Confession: I just 3 awesomely delicious fish tacos for lunch, with a side of pasta salad. They were so good that I ate it all. Now I feel a food coma coming on because I am so full.
Do couples kill each other when they move? Seriously, imma lose my mind!!!! Add a 2 year old to the mix - this shits for the birds. I've moved many times, but this one takes the cake.
Now I want cake!!!!
coconutbug Godspeed to you - I know you're doing this right now with 2 toddlers, across the country!

Well, I lost almost 2lbs since the last time I weighed myself. And then probably gained it all back today stopping at BK for breakfast on my way in to work. Self sabotage. It's what I do best, apparently.

OMG - my family is driving me nuts! We're staying in a local hotel for a week and don't start driving out to DC until next Monday. Being cooped up with my H, two kids, and two dogs in a tiny suite is driving me to consume massive amounts of pie. This is definitely not a good H&F week, but I know I'll get back on track once we settle down. Good luck to you though as you finish up your move!
Aw - I had a really good run this morning - It was overcast, in the 70's and super muggy but I was able to knock out a fast 6 miler. I'm hoping it's all the hot yoga I'm doing that is helping with this.
Confessions - I'm nervous that I will graze and eat all night during our party tonight - so much good food! I'm still up 2 pounds and keep gaining and losing the same two over and over again - it's getting really old. Why is it so hard to lose 2 pounds and keep them off?
Whine - We have a ton of food/sweets at home and DH brings me home peanut butter pie! - I don't need anymore temptations:(
AW: my in laws bought be a Bob stroller! I'm going to put it together and take my niece for a spin.
Whine: we have SO MUCH to figure out with this upcoming baby. (Daycare, pediatrician). I thought since both my husband and I have some time off this week we could knock some of it out but some people won't meet with us until I'm at least 8 months. I'm almost 7, can't they just see me a little early?
I am also so sick of family members who have decided that I'm have a boy (we don't know) and have already named him. They don't even address me. They have gone to asking my belly "how baby Sam is"

Never again. I have a feeling the last 10% of boxes (or the trash bags of DH's stuff since he put off packing so long), will be sitting in various closets for the next ten years. I haven't even begun to think about hanging up pictures and decorating, and DD2's clothes are in a suitcase in her closet. I'm done.

We've not had this problem, but all of our major moves have been for my job, and part of the relo package is that movers come in and pack everything. I've decided it's the only way to move!

Can you see the fireworks from your place? I used to be able to in one of my old apartments, I could sit on the porch roof and just chill and watch them, it was awesome! Now I have to watch it on TV because I am not about to face those crowds with a three-and-a-half year old (plus I have to pack and my wife is working at 6am).

AW: I got some major shout outs on facebook from people who take my spin class. It was such an ego boost!
Confession: I have been so lax about my eating habits lately. I *know I need to clean things up and get control of my sweet tooth but I am having such a hard time with it.
Whine: I'm spending a lot of weekend time at the pool. I saw pictures from last weekend and was kinda disappointed in myself. I'm just not as "tight" looking as I used to be...probably in part to my confession above.
Confession: I am secretly enjoying watching the weekend warriors FREAK OUT on FB because of the impending rain for tomorrow Peachtree. Yes, I'm a bad person I know, but I just love running in the rain.
I'd trade a wet Peachtree for a hot, sweaty, mess Peachtrree any year.

Ditto this for running in general. When the sun has been beating down lately, I have been struggling to hold an 8:45. Last night we had drizzling rain & some cloud coverage (still humid, but I'll take what I can get), same, if not slightly easier effort turned into an 8:16. In the summer, rain>full sun, every time.
Confession/Whine: Every time I see a runner, I get jealous/whistful.
Yep, me exactly. I never thought I could miss running this much.
Whine: PT is doing great things and all but my stupid calf bothers me all the time.
Confession: So I went to my first ART session yesterday and didn't tell my therapist. I figured a little free help wouldn't hurt anything, and I didn't want to tell him I was going regardless. Anyways, why did I not go before? It was awesome and for the first time in months, I experienced, though short-lived, a "normal" calf.

We totally had boxes in closets that hadn't been unpacked since the last move. They seriously bulked up our goodwill & dump piles this go-around.

This sounds fabulous. I'm fantasizing about selling everything and living in a tent.

Confession: My friend's wife has recently started selling Advocare and I am getting super annoyed with her incessant FB posts. She is a normal weight, if not even a bit on the thin side. This morning she posted that she lost 11 lbs. in 7 days. Yeah, that's because your innards are all shriveled up and falling out...or something.
Whine: (haha, I just accidentally typed 'wine'. Freudian typo?) i hate holidays. Because of my H's job, he works all of them. And I am always alone and sad.
On the other hand, he isn't leaving until 8:45 tomorrow morning. I have a chance to see him tomorrow (for the first time since Sunday since we are on opposite schedules), but I think I am going to run before it gets too hot, so I may not be home before he leaves.
And, since I shop my feelings away, I may be sporting my new Glycerin 11s this weekend.
I need to get my act together with food and exercise. Ever since my half marathon and the heat, I am averaging one run a week and my weight has crept up. Convince a complete moron when it comes to weights that I can do NROLFW or the Abs one with DH! I went over the book at B&N and felt like a moron trying to figure it out! AW: DH and I are hoping to go for a mountain bike ride tomorrow, his first since back surgery 4 1/2 months ago. It will primarly be fire roads and trails without logs on it.

OMG, yes.
When we moved here you should have SEEN us in the days leading up to the actual move. And we were pretty much yelling at each other in the driveway the morning we left as we tried to cram all of the essentials for the next few days into the car. I thought we weren't even going to make it to the highway.
And coconutbug deserves some kind of medal for this.

I am overjoyed that I've been given the OK to start running again. It's been almost 3 weeks since my injury, and I've gotten wistful/jealous of anyone I saw out running. My 2 mi yesterday were ridiculously slow (really -you all probably could have walked faster than I was running) but it felt great to move again. But really - did the 90* temps and humidity have to come now instead of when I was sitting on my duff?
