Wow! I'm still surprised and if this didn't happen to me it would be hard to believe. Today I decided to splurge and go to InSpa to get a shellac manicure. Their website said it would be $50. That's a lot higher than I normally spend but like I said, I wanted to splurge a little.
I call and ask if I need an appointment or if I can walk in. They say no problem, just come on in. About 30 minutes later I walk in. The place is completely empty. The gal at the front takes my info and shows me the different polishes they have. I was a little disappointed in their selection, but whatever. The lady comes over to do my nails and I tell her I have shellac on. She does the thing of putting acetone on the cotton ball and tin foil to soak. After like 2 minutes she takes the cotton ball off and starts to scrape the polish. It was actually hurting and I told her that. She then commented about how hard the polish is to get off. Umm okay you only had it soaking for 2 minutes. She puts the tin foil back on and says she'll be back.
She then comes back and complains again about the polish not coming off. I tell her it's the CND polish, which is the same they have. She tells me I'm wrong. That's right, "No it wasn't. You're wrong." She continues complaining about how hard the polish is to get off and if she did them I wouldn't have this problem. She leaves me again to let the nails soak.
At this point I'm shocked. I can't believe it. I'm a super patient person but I've had enough. I take the foil off and start to walk away. Someone comes out and asks me what's wrong and I tell them. They then tell me, "Well she doesn't speak English very well so I think you just misunderstood." WHAT?!
I ended up getting my shellac manicure at a place I've been to quite a few times and paid way less than InSpa.
A lot of people love inSpa. Something there has always felt kinda off to me. It's definitely overpriced for what you actually get. That's over-the-top bad service though So sorry Fiddles!

The last time I went it wasn't a good experience, so I went to the downtown Bellevue one and it was a little better, but I wasn't impressed. I'll pay more for a high end salon or go pay less and have a better experience elsewhere.
Fiddles, def check them out. Ex-nestie Tygirl goes there and her nails always looked so amazing that I went with her. Now whenever I want to get my nails done, I go there. First good manicure I had had in several YEARS.

I think I'm going to check them out on Saturday for a pedicure!
I think its around $30 for a shellac mani. I know they were around $10 cheaper per service compared to the place I received a GC to in downtown Renton.
