A couple we know has a daughter obsessed with playing with their phones and they have joked about "What if she makes a huge purchase without us knowing?" I had to send them this.
Any other funny stories of stuff your kids have done while on your phones?
This actually explains what an EMT said this morning, lol! I got Gabe to walk by holding out my phone and then gave it to him, and one guy was like "Oh look out he's going to buy a car!" and everybody but me, Marc, and Gabe laughed.
Yes. But DS is 4.5. I got my phone when we had just turned 2. He didn't get to play w/ it then, but over time, I started letting him play. Realized once, though, that he had deleted some pictures. So I had to show him how to NOT do that! (I.e. DON'T HIT ANYTHING RED!!!). It hasn't happened since. He luckily picks up this stuff quickly.
I have a ton of games/ learning apps on there for him.

We let him watch videos but enable guided access so he can't click out of the app.
He did grab H's phone when I was in the shower once. And proceeded to FaceTime one of H's friends. Thank god he took the phone to H and didn't bring it to me!
My SIL got pissy wtih me once because I wouldn't let her 2 year old play with my iPhone. Like, "scolded" me for upsetting him because he was throwing a tantrum about not getting it and told me to 'just give it to him already'
yeah, no.
I get she and her H let their kids play on their phones and iPad all.the.time but I was really surprised at the attitude that I just hand mine over on demand.
Oh, fuck that! No, just my kid. I'm not even joking.

DS got my phone while I was looking for something (Tylenol, maybe?) and called one of my friends, babbled at her for a minute then hung up. My friend panicked, thinking something was wrong with me, and called my H at work who then rushed home(his office is 2 minutes away) in a frenzy because something terrible had happened to me! I was totally confused until I looked at my phone history.

Yeah. If DS ever has my phone and another kid comes up to us/him, I take the phone back. Occasionally he wants to show a friend something on the phone and I'll let him - but I watch him like a hawk and once the other kid starts to get too handsy/ tries to take the phone from DS - I take it back.

Lucy plays on my phone and iPad, sometimes. The worst thing she ever did was on my kindle fire- she bought $20 in apps before I learned to put parental controls on.
My boss constantly lets his kid play on his cell phone. This weekend she called my cell by accident at 7am, again at 7:15, and once more at 8:30. I like my sleep on the weekends. My boss thinks this is hilarious and it's so cute.
I do not agree.
Um, yeah. DS doesn't even seem to realize that there is an actual PHONE feature...

Yeah, I had to turn off one touch ordering in Amazon when two copies of Revolver showed up in my mailbox. I checked my cart and realized there was close to $300 in Beatles cds and collectibles in my cart. Thankfully, he didn't manage to actually order all of that.
L plays on my phone allll the time. I try to put it into kid mode though, so she can't text/call. But, she has. She also posted on here once (on the April 2012 board somehow).
Nope - we don't let Em play with our phones. Although she is obsessed with them! I'm not sure if it's because we won't let her have them or because we have Otter Box cases and she likes the texture.
I also do link a credit card with my accounts (or don't keep one on file rather) to make it difficult, just in case!
We also don't let Em watch TV. It drives me nuts when people as what show's we're letting her watch and which are her favorites. She's 7 months for pete's sake!
We're actually getting rid of cable soon, so hopefully she won't be ordering any pay-per-view!

DD1 gets to play with it only at the grocery store, and not even every time. I only have one game on my phone (Flow), but she loves it and it occupies both of them for 15-20 minutes while I speed shop.

When J starts Kindergarten in the fall the school suggests we buy the kids Ipads because they have a tech. class that teaches them how to use Ipads. It's almost an expectation.

DD is 3. She has my old Incredible and it is full of learning games and Angry Birds. It keeps her occupied on long car rides, doctors' waiting rooms, etc. It can't make calls but it can access wifi. Luckily she isn't interested in the internet yet.

My 3yo schooled my grandfather on how to use his ipad the other day. It's crazy how quickly they learn.
He sent out tweets and posted a picture of his feet on Instagram. He's three. I have those apps but don't actually know how to do either of those things.
