I cleaned off the kitchen counter and wiped everything down. I bought a 99 cent "spray bottle" at Wal-Mart the other week (it's just a water bottle with a sprayer top, lol). Turns out, that spray top fits a bottle of vinegar. Everything is getting the vinegar rub down now and it makes me ridiculously happy because I'm allergic to bleach and this is the next best thing.
Even though I'm not pregnant I keep getting coupons in the mail for baby formula. I have $30 worth of coupons at the moment and they send me more every month. I'm going to cash them in on formula and see if the Church could use them. There's a good chance it'd either be used locally or sent to Haiti. I feel bad getting the magazine they come in because it's useless for me, the coupons at least. I do collect the magazine, but I don't ever remember signing up for it. It just showed up one day.
We are going to a friend's house for dinner tonight. Normally I make dessert and she provides dinner for the 5 of us, but she mentioned she found a new recipe and wants to make it, so I told her my husband and I would provide dinner. I'm just going to stop and get a bunch of sandwich fixings. I love that we have a nice solid friendship with these people, it took us 2.5 years of living here to connect with them but it was worth it.
It's not supposed to be a soup but its pretty much a bunch of shredded chicken in liquid lol. There's enough to eat it both ways: as tacos and over rice. Well, and soup. There's a loooot of chicken.
We're going to a bday party for a friend of dd1's today. They've hired a girl who comes dressed up as Belle to come and sing happy birthday and paint their fingernails. I'm excited to see how dd1 will react to her. I'm pretty sure dd2 will be in love with her.
I'm tired. My foot still hurts. I bake by myself today. No more training.
So there's a rumor going around the job that they might be making me a manager in training. Not confirmed by management yet, but I heard it on the line. Huh. Pretty cool.

Oh, and also, my H (who is not overweight in the slightest) decided that he wanted to drop a few pounds too. He stopped drinking juice/lemonade/pop for one week and he went out for a run a little more often than he usually does and he dropped 6 pounds in one week! Jerk! I worked so hard for everyone last one of the 10 pounds that I lost and he makes the smallest change and BAM, 6 pounds lost. So frustrating!
the boys just woke up. we're going to get ready to hit the dusty trail for roadtrip day 2!! continental breakfast, here we come. woooooot!!
(i've already hit the in-room coffee)
I have no idea how you are driving that far with two kids, by yourself. Last week I drove to NC from FL w/ my sister & her two kids.. I'll NEVER go on another road trip. The kids weren't even bad. They had a DVD player & headphones.. but it's just so much work..and tiring. and I'm pregnant ( & whiney) ...and so is my sister. We are idiots.
I put 5 HUGE chicken breasts in the crock pot, seasoned with about a tablespoon of freeze dried garlic and some cumin then dumped half a jar of green salsa on top of it all. I happened to have an envelope of Sazon Goya Cilantro & Tomato seasoning packet. I dumped that in the now empty salsa jar, added about 2/3 cup water, shook it up and dumped that in the pot too.
8 hrs. on low and voila! It tastes pretty good and is very tender.
I'm so over crappy sleep from DS ( almost 5) being sick. We let him come in our bed at midnight. At 5 am he wanted up for the day but DH wouldn't let him. It's his day to wake up early, Sunday is mine. On Thursday I got up with DS at 4 am. This morning that was not happening so I put him back in his bed with the iPad. DH then was snoring and in lieu of smothering him with a pillow. I slept on the couch. At least DS woke up feeling better.
