I'm actually crying.
I decided to make an appointment just to get ahead of things and then I remembered our insurance changed (to a much better plan!) and they don't take it.
I did HOURS of research to find this practice to begin with, they now have a brooklyn location, and I loved everything about it. I don't want to start over.
When the insurance changed we checked all our doctors to make sure they took it but we forgot this one. I guess we were being hopeful.

Oh I can see why you are upset. However, I know you will research the heck out of this and find another excellent provider. If there is not another one close by perhaps this could help you get an exception for coverage by contacting your insurance company.
I'm so sorry, Trudy. It's good you looked into it early, so you have time to deal with it before potentially deciding you need to make an appointment. When they say they don't accept it, is it just that they're not in-network? Is it possible you could still use them but pay a slightly higher percentage? Good luck, sweetie.

I'm sorry honey I would be disappointed if I couldn't go back to my old RE, too. I hope you find an amazing new practice. I'm sure you will, because you're going to research the heck out of it this time around, too! You've got this!

There are tons in NYC, I always feel lucky to live so close to great doctors. I also remember paying $500 I think OOP for my first visit as a new patient and I was going to avoid that cost by going back. Wahh.

Yea, it's not in network so I have to call my insurance company and see what it would be like. Most insurance coverage kind of sucks for reproductive medicine anyway.
Ugh Trudy I'm sorry Can you call them and get a recommendation? That's what I've had to do countless times due to H's insurance (which is a wonderful plan, but they are a PIA to deal with). Good luck!

Ugh I'm so sorry. I know this pain all too well. Does your insurance cover out of network partially? I don't know how much RE bills are. If your insurance pays a percentage and you put the rest on your FSA it might be doable.
Health insurance companies are THE WORST and make me want to scream.
I am so sorry, Trudy. Maybe you can talk to your insurance about still covering it though? We received a few bills for C that were OON once and we called they were very awesome about it and covered the bills as in network. Worth a shot? I am so sorry.
