I have Sonicare and have had one almost since they were introduced at one of my dental research meetings around 15ish years ago (they had a booth and meeting attendants were able to buy them at discount).
Only issue is the cost of the heads, they tend to be a little pricy. Even though they claim that they last a long time, I normally change out mine long before that. However, the last meeting I was at, I ordered enough brush heads that I should be good for a long time.
I saw this at Costco the other day and was intrigued. H's uncle is our dentist so I can also ask him, but worth it? I'm terrible about flossing and really need to be better. This may have the same effect that you mentioned earlier about the new "toy" that you play with a lot in the beginning.
There is no toothbrush, manual or otherwise, that has been proven to replace floss. It just can't get in between the teeth. For floss replacement, a big issue with this device is the water stream and its ability to get interproximal. Tight or broad contacts are going to be a problem from a physics standpoint. Also, the comments seem to consistently say that it breaks/nozzles leak, so caveat emptor.

What don't you like about flossing?
Ok, good to know it may not be worth the money.
I have a small mouth and TMJ, which makes it really hard to effectively floss without shoving my entire fist in my mouth. I have the little Reach flosser things that I use as often as I remember, but my hygienist said they aren't necessarily as effective because you don't get the curve around the tooth. Mostly I'm just lazy and need to not be.

You are not alone in not liking floss. Are your contacts tight (do they shred floss) or is it just opening wide. You might try OralB softpics or interproximal brushes (TePe are my faves, but you can only order those online or at the dentist--all toothbrush brands make some form of brush--they look like teeny testtube/bottle brushes) for interdental cleaning if you have looser contacts. My patients who have small mouths like them better. You still need to floss with the pre-threaded flosser for the part of the tooth that is in contact, but they can clean the curved areas around the teeth better than floss. Good luck!
Sonicare (as recommended by my dentist). There are some that stop when you press down too hard (I have mild recession due to my pushing down way too hard when I brush) - so I would get one of those. I've had to train myself to not press down and it's hard to remember all the time. I've gotten a lot better, but it would be easier if my toothbrush did it for me!
