I'm bummed that my car is still in the shop. I was "expecting" it yesterday, but it's not done yet. I can't complain too much because my BIL is working on it, which saves $$$ in labor. I've been without reverse since last April, so it will be worth the wait! My coworkers are meeting up tonight for dinner and margaritas, and I have no way to get there. It's a 40 minute drive, so I can't ask someone to come get me, and Ryan is at work. I hate to miss a girls' night. On a happy note, I'm supposed to run at PT on Friday! I hope all goes well so I can get official clearance!
I don't even know how this is possible. I wouldn't be able to park at my house if I didn't have reverse.
I've become the master of parking! I've only misjudged a few inclines and needed to ask for a push. My coworkers tease me all the time. This is the first car I've ever paid off, and it has gotten me through years of commuting 400 miles a week.

I applaud you for toughing it out that long. There is NO WAY i would have ever done it. Nope. I'm a big sissy when it comes to car problems. I whine and bitch until MH fixes it. Thankfully, I've only had one problem that required it to go to the shop, and it was just the exhaust.. Although, when that happened I acted like a 5yo.
I don't know all the technical terms but basically my exhaust came apart or something and it sounded like gigantic weed eater - it was SO loud and obnoxious. I pulled into the nearest gas station and refused to drive it. I made DH (then b/f) come get it and I drove his truck. Not my finest moment...
AW: We're having a baby this spring! Confession: I thought I'd want to be a pregnant CrossFitter. Turns out I don't. Random: I worked out religiously last pregnancy because I wasn't sure if I would go back to pre-baby shape. It wasn't a problem post Kirklette. So now I'm pretty meh about working out.

DH bought me so much cake for my birthday yesterday and I knew I would devour the rest of it, so I just took the icing off, ate that, and threw the rest of it away.
I'm giving hungryrunnergirl the side eye after her blog post yesterday - it was a good blog on how she has improved her body image but she said she has gained 20 lbs since having her kid and when I see pictures of her I can't imagine her being 20 lbs less.
I really needed a running rest day today but the weather is so nice - 70's and low humidity and I wanted to be outside. I solved that by going on a 15 mile bike ride - I'm finally enjoying cross training - last year I hated doing anything but running.
Happy birthday! Next time, I will take the cake off your hands ;D
Random: DH is being a dickwad. He hasn't said more than two words to me since Sat. Won't tell me what his problem is, other than "I'm working through some stuff".... um wtf. We didn't get in a fight, nothing happened... I'm at a loss.
Hoping his therapy session tonight helps. Otherwise I may need help burying the body... ;-)

AW: I'm seeing a ton of definition in my arms and shoulders. I should get a picture when I get a chance.
Confession: I'm totally over swimming and I'm 400y away from my temporary retirement. See you in the pool in November. Maybe.
Random: My face is broken out like that of a teenager, it's ridiculous and I have no idea why. My skin is extra oily right now, which is the cause of the breakouts, I suppose, but I don't know WHY it's oily.

I had this problem the last few months. It started during marathon training and I couldn't get it to go away. I finally tried one of the Acne kits and it worked but I swear it was worse than when I was a teen.
I went to spin this am because some friends wanted to try a different class--one bailed on me last night and the other slept through her alarm. I left the class early because I totally wasn't into it and one of y cycling shoes broke (sole separated from the body of the shoe). It was a crappy start to the day.
But I'm teaching later, and I'm excited about that.

My baby took off her dress and diaper in the car dealership today. I was talking to the service tech for about 30 seconds, and she took this time to get naked and run off. The other two of course thought it was hilarious and started to chase after her, which made her run more. This is my life! Out of control, all the time.
I asked my husband yesterday when we were going to think about having a child and he pretty much told me it was up to me to get into shape so I could have a healthy pregnancy. I guess that was my cue to work my ass off and lose like 100 pounds.
I'm finally able to up my miles from 1 to 1.5--after another 2 runs of no pain I can add another .5 mile I never thought I'd be able to get past 1 mile without pain so now I'm so so happy. Turns out I need to just stop wearing heels but I can deal with that! ACL recovery is slow but steady!

AW: I'm so proud of my workout the past two days. Yesterday I went to the gym and did 20 minutes on the bike and some weightlifting. Then I went to a state park and did a 30 minute hike(with some jogging thrown in) and jogged for 5 minutes around the parking lot. Today I went to the gym again and did a workout thing with the hubs that included 45 push ups, sit ups and lunges (split up) and 20 minutes on the bike again! I'm starting to feel sore now, but I'm so happy with myself.
Random: Watermelon needs to get cheap again...I'm not paying $5.99 for a melon.

Congrats @kirkette !!
Mine is sort of whatever: You all gave me great advice on my running shoe fail last week, and I decided to take them back. But I got lazy and kept wearing them all week, which was so incredibly stupid. Tonight I was in the shower after my run, and I realized just how many hot spots I had on my feet. I am so mad at myself right now.
So, I made a trip to Road Runner tonight, and ended up with Glycerin 11s (I've been wearing the 10s, so they were the safe bet). They are pretty ugly, but they feel SO much better.
I could list a thousand randoms, but they are all tapery bullshit so I will spare you. I'm actually doing better this go-around than I have in the past. Still, not a good look.
I will AW that I hopped on the scale yesterday for this first time in months, and I am down to the weight I was when H and I started dating 8 years ago! I'd still love to lose 10 or so, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes - great day filled with lots of cake:)
More randoms:
I had to do wheel push ups in my yoga bootcamp class tonight - they were awful:(
I watched the first episode of Orange is the New Black on Netflix and I'm annoyed that they are putting so much stuff into the show that never happened in the book.
I've been getting faster every time I go out for a run, on the order of 10-15 seconds a mile faster every run for the last 2 weeks (so a total of 6 runs so far).
