Hey guys! I've been a creeper for a little while, but I have a crush on you and I think we should be middle-school dating where we talk in the hall between classes and hold hands sometimes but don't see each other after school.
Anyway, my son is Will born April 11, he's great! I would post a picture, but I haven't figured it out yet.
I bet people never pass notes anymore now that texting exists.
I've never thought about it! I'm sure they don't. It was so fun being all stealth like passing notes.
That's right, no more notes just texts. We banned texting in the classroom and kids are still doing it all.the.time. Such a pita.
My friends and I used to keep a notebook that we would write in and then pass on during the next class. That way a teacher would think we were just taking notes. We were so smart

Oh goody! So many notes! I like to fold them fancy and use the Corners cypher.
Will and I just moved at the end of May from the twin cities in Minnesota to the north suburbs of Chicago. My husband just completed his bachelors degree today, so he will be joining us on Sunday! Hooray! We are actually living with my parents while my husband finds a full time job, so this is my hometown, but I've been gone so long I don't have too many friends anymore. Also I am apparently ahead of the curve because most people I know are just getting married and not even thinking of kids.
I lurked the bump right around the split which is how I knew about this board, but I didn't actually start lurking here until April when I wanted to compare 1 year stats.

anyone else from Chicago?
Welcome!! DH and I lived in Chicago for 10 years, pre-kids. I loved it. (Except the winters, and the traffic, blech!) We lived in Evanston (went to NU), and Bucktown.
