I not only had peaches n cream Barbie, I had the AA peaches n cream Barbie. Also had totally hair Barbie, but I think I cut her hair, so she'd be worthless even if I found her. HA.
I had peaches n cream, but did bad bad things to her hair.
I also had Barbie and the Rockers Barbie and MY GOD I wanted that snack shop. And the department store -- does anyone remember the department store? (don't tell me if you had it, because I will die of jealousy)
As a Barbie collector, let me tell you that the only Barbies in that list that are worth more than the purchase price are #3 and #4. The price an eBay seller puts on an item means nothing.
Barbies from the 1980's and 1990's, even the "collectible" ones, aren't worth jack. It's vintage, baby, that's worth the bucks.
This is amazing. Will my Barbies retire me early one day? I have all those bitches MINT IN BOX. (ETA not all the dolls listed just all my barbies, I only have a few listed on that page)
Don't be jealous though, I never got to play with them. I had the janky 99 cent store barbeez to play with.
If I never have a daughter, some of my friends daughters will get my dolls.
Wow, really? Did you actually save them in the box in the 80s or did your parents drive that charge?
I lied! I had the day and night Barbie--I remember that hat!!!
My cousins had the pimped out Barbies--lots of different clothes and the freaking hot tub!!!! They would get mad when all I ever wanted to do was dress them up in different outfits rather than act out storylines.
I had peaches n cream, but did bad bad things to her hair.

I had the department store! I got it for Christmas the same year I got day to night Barbie, who had the best shoes, btw.
You know what this is really making me nostalgic for? Shee-ra. Or however you spell her name. Shee-ra, her castle, the whole thing.
Also, Jem. I mean, Barbie was great, but Jem? Jen was outrageous.
Jem was amazing. She made me feel better about my thighs, which were always thick and muscular, even as a kid. Plus, pretty sure Barbie never had earrings that lit up. Or a purple BFF with glittery hair.

I had all the holiday barbies. I actually still do somewhere lol. But the 1988 one got played with. a lot. haha. I think starting in 1992 or so I kept them all in boxes.
We've moved a few times since we've been married and H gets so MAD when he has to move the box titled "Becky's Barbies" lol
That's crazy. I had the Glow one, the crystal one, and the pink and pretty one. I might still have their outfits, but probably not the right dolls. My aunt still has her barbies from the 50s that had wigs. Pretty cool. I'm surprised the twirl and curl one isn't on there or the one with the wire in her hair that you could wrap around her "curling iron" and curl her hair.

Oh yeah my mom bought me Barbies all the time, I just wasn't allowed to take them out of their box. =/
Wow, that's incredible. I wish my parents had been that smart about my barbies. My dad has an entire room in our basement devoted to his model train collection, but Barbies never made it to a similar status. I wonder if there are any toys kids play with these days I should be getting.
I had 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 12, and 15. I had a lot of Barbies. They were my favorite. Dream Glow and Day to Night both rocked.
Does anyone remember the Barbie who made kissing lips when you pressed on her back? I loved her and cannot figure out which one she was. Surely someone knows?

I had Totally Hair and Rollerblade Barbie. I bet they are still somewhere in one of my parent's basements. I think my favorite was Air Force Barbie because she had a cute bob cute that I loved and at the time I was sure I was going Air Force to be a pilot....turns out to be a pilot you have to have eyes that aren't horrendous. Go figure.
Side note: my grandma built me my own Barbie house. It was three stories tall with two rooms on either side. I appreciated it as a kid but even more so now. She put in a real door, plexiglass windows, a trellis with fake flowers running up it, foam carpeting, used real wallpaper for the walls, etc. I have to figure out how to get that up here to my house before my dad junks it because "it's old and falling apart." Um, stfu dad.
Does anyone know how to go about researching a price on an 1980's Barbie dream house? Complete with elevator, etc. I recently had to take back everything I was storing in my dad's garage and the meticulously stored and in mint condition house was in the pile.

Eh, that seems more sad than smart. This is what usually happens when people try to "invest" in toys.

I cried when my mom told me Jem was no longer on the air.
Jem is on Netflix. I tried making my kids watch, so they could experience the outrageousness themselves, but it really doesn't stand the test of time, lol.

I had it -- and the airplane. Actually, I shouldn't use the past tense. I still have both of them, in a box at my mom's house waiting for the day my daughter is old enough to play with them. And I will be playing right alongside her. I played with Barbie far too long to be socially acceptable.
I might actually still have the Holiday Barbie in box. My grandma bought me the holiday barbie every year and my parents would let me take them out of the box. It was so disappointing.
