How do you pronounce it? I say it with the long E sound. Like Ee LIE us. Some of my friends say it with the Eh sound instead. I have heard it pronounced with an Uh sound too. Its like Elijah. Some people say Ee, eh or uh.

I would love to know how TrudyCampbell pronounces it. I use "Eh" for both Elias and Elijah, but "Ee" doesn't sound wrong or weird to me.

I say Eh for both as well, but Ee seems fine to me too. I have a friend Elyse and her mom always said it EE-lyse when everyone else said Alyse or Eh-lyse.

She said like Eh lee us or something. Its pronounced that way in other languages I think. Or Ee lee us. To me its just like Elijah but with an us instead of juh sound on the end. Ive always pronounced Elijah with the long E but I say it fast so people probably dont notice.

Same as you. We call him Eli from time to time, so calling him Uh lie us is weird to me. Other people do though.

Except Jack is actually his middle name. I don't use the boys' 1st names. I use one of their middle names on here
I have not seen any other babies with their names here, but I know one of each on the old site. They aren't common names at all.

Even with the Jacks I was surprised there are no other Jacksons. I haven't actually met one yet since he was born, but I am positive that will change when he hits Kindergarten.
Yes! I'm sorry, I couldn't remember but I knew I had seen another one. Is your Max a Max, Maxwell, or something else? (we are Maxwell)
He's a Maxwell my H fought hard for Maximilian or Maximus though! I wanted a traditional name that wouldn't be super popular. Of course, he's already had another Max at daycare and there was a Theo at the school I taught in so I guess other people had the same thought!
Mine's just Max I liked Maxim (pronounced "Mak-seem" - he Russian/French name) but the association w/ the magazine made me say no to it
One of my best friends has a son named Theo! I love that name.
