We talk about baby names all the time. But, I want to know what else you name. dh and I name our cars. We have: Harry the Hyundai Linda the Taurus (because she is like a 50 year old chain smoking office worker. She does the job, but she doesn't like it.)
I don't name them but I think they have feelings. Like my shoes will be mad at me if I don't put them on their shoe rack to "sleep" at night. Yeah, I'm looney!
Emerson Kate, born 38w5d on 4/6/12 at 6:02 p.m., 5 lbs 13 oz and 18 3/4 inches. Lucas Matthew, born 39w5d on 4/11/14 at 8:20 a.m., 7 lbs 4 oz and 20 inches.
I just named the goofmobile (my 11 year old Cavalier) Kandy because it needs a more personalized name and you treat her like a lady since she has hit 170,000 miles. She's been around the block a few times.
The kidmobile is still the grandpamobile. It technically is DH's car (even though I drive it the most) and I can't name his car.
My old car was Tribby Tribute. Dh's old truck was Felicia Ford. He's also had Dudley Dodge and Rodney Rangerfield for work trucks. Our bass boat was Reba Ranger. Thinking about this now, I realize we might be a little nuts!! Lol.
I name everything. In high school I named my calculator Fred for some reason. Now, my car's name is Monticello Mustang, Monty for short. DH's truck is Sheldon Sierra and his car before was Myles the Charger (Myles was a girl, though). The geranium basket that he nursed back to health from near death is Geronimo. Our GPS is Gertrude, Gert for short. All DD's toys have names.

I have done this as long as I can remember! Stuffed animals would be sad at the store if I didn't buy them. My koosh balls would cry if they weren't equally played with.
Now, my pillow would be sad if I didn't use in, which is why I can't use the snoogle DH got me

Oh gosh, all of ours do too. It's ridiculous.
Mr. Pugglesworth, Frank the giraffe, Francis the Flamingo, Montgomery the Orangutan. I could go on and on.
My car before this one, a 2006 white Kia Spectra, his name was Huey Lewis and The News. Car before that, a 1991 Honda Civic hatchback, The Silver Fox.
I named DH's 2004 yellow Mustang GT Veronica, because she is a classy broad.
I haven't settled into a name for my 2011 black Ford Escape yet. Nothing feels right still.
Clearly, I have serious issues, lol.
I must have the same issues, because this makes perfect sense to me, as does the "classy broad". My Mustang is a boy because he just felt like a boy to me, plus he's so f'ing reliable and steady compared to my last car, which I loved and was so much fun, but was totally a girl who got PMS and hated me on occasion. Ahhh, young car love.

Emerson's toys all have names, too, although I am not very creative with them. The elephant= Ellie. The giraffe= giraffe. The doll= Dolly.

This whole response is amazing. It's like you typed out my whole thought process exactly (heart).
Oh, my first car was an old blue Cutlass Ciera called the Blueberry bomb. For some reason, I didn't have the wheel lock for the car and the lock thing would rat-a-tat as I drove down the road. My roomies said that it sounded like a bomb getting ready to explode. They could hear me coming from WAAAAY down the road.
