I have fallen in love with Triscuit brown rice tomato and basil crackers. They are amazing but somewhat high calorie so I try to eat a serving (6 crackers) instead of an entire box at a time.
When I count out my six sad little crackers I eat the broken ones I find and don't use them in my calorie count. My assumption here is when they break the calories escape.
I ate nothing but crap all last week--between our anniversary (mmm...Italian dinner and cheesecake) and dh being in the hospital for a few days (mmm...Carl's Jr. next door and candy). It was delicious---but now that I'm back at work and back to trying not to suck at eating. But Twix bars are so good......

I have been BLOWING it lately, 95% thanks to Whole Foods' dark chocolate sea salt caramels. But it's ok 'cause they're WF so they're "healthy" ::eyeroll::
DH wasn't home for dinner last night, and I was too damn lazy to make anything. This means that dinner consisted of: A few bites of leftover chicken fried quinoa, a small piece off leftover steak, a leftover slice of homemade pizza, and hummus w/pita chips. lol I should be embarrassed, but I had a big spinach salad for lunch & a few servings of fruit throughout the day, so, whatever. Plus, I'm kinda proud of the fact that I ate our leftovers instead of them being thrown away at the end of the week.
There's a 70% chance of rain for my tri on Saturday. I went to ride my bike this morning, and it was drizzling, so I turned around at the end of my driveway and went back inside. Um, if it's going to rain Saturday, I should ride in the rain today. Fail.

Have you ever heard of brownie brittle? It is dangerous stuff. In a matter of days the entire bag just disappears into my mouth. I am not buying any more even though it is so tasty.

let me guess? you ate it all while standing in front of the fridge/microwave. except for the chips. those were consumed in front of the TV? this was totally me mid marathon training the last time around when I didn't have someone to feed me.
my confession is that I don't really read race reports. mostly I skim. unless it's in your blog. then I'm probably not reading it at all. I'm super proud of each and every one of you, but I don't need a play by play (unless it's a race I'm planning on running because I'm a selfish dick like that).

This was my mom's theory growing up too! Therefore I always eat the broken cookies, crackers, etc. first

This! I just bought some (never shop hungry) after work this week. Sosososo good! And because of that, I will never buy it EVER AGAIN!
I'm scared to go to running group on Saturday because I have run as many miles this month (so far) as I did in the first week of July. Yikes.
clseale - I'm impressed that you had leftovers period. At our house when there is anything that should be left over we usually divide it in half (or 2/3 for H, 1/3 for me) and eat it anyway. (That's probably why you have awesome abs. I mean that in the least creepy way possible.)

I saw this at the store and was intrigued, now I'm not sure if I should or should not buy it!
I dont like brownie brittle. It just makes me wish i had a brownie. Its not satisfying at all.
The registration fee for the hm i plan to run in spetmeber went up yesterday. Ive known this for MONTHS. i totally forgot to register. Its only $5 more now, and i can wait until after i run 12 miles this weekend, but still im annoyed at myself.
I ate 3 chocolate truffles out of boredom and stress about my one "loose" pair of jeans feeling tight - ugh:/
I went in for a full physical and my white blood cell count came back low - it's freaking me the F out. My doctor wants to recheck in a month and that is agony to me.
I'm dreading going back to school and as I type this I know many of you are rolling your eyes because you think I should be grateful I had the summer off and not bitch about going back to work.
Haha, thanks Brit. We must just make way too much food at our house.
ebeth, if it weren't for the fact that I know you understand marathon training, I would think you had a hidden camera in my house. That's exactly how it played out.
H is out of town again this weekend and I fully intend on existing on turkey hot dogs and mac and cheese because I am an adult, that's why.
I would live on cereal and butter noodles when I was childless and H was traveling. It was really more awesome than it sounds. It is good I don't live alone.

My lunch today consisted of: baby carrots and ranch dressing, spicy Asian snack mix, goldfish crackers, shortbread cookies, dark chocolate Milano cookies, cheddar cheese, butter crackers, and soda. Thank you, United airport lounge.

I am about to spend way too much money on a 5k registration that requires an overnight hotel stay. But I just cannot not run the inaugural Duck Commander Duck Dash.

I came home from swimming last night and was all "Hey R, you have plans for dinner? No? Good - we're going to go eat chips and salsa and drink margaritas." I justified this by ordering the veggie burrito instead of something with meat.
Uhhhh. I'm pretty sure I ate 10x my weight in calories last night. And probably drank half of it. LOL
@vtcupcake - You used the word zaftig. That's like a throwback to HS vocab tests! We should have an H&F word of the day. Today's word: zaftig; Brit looked totally zaftig after marathon training because she did not even try to rein in her runger for the past 18 weeks.
I spent $160 at lululemon today. I was not-so-secretly pleased that the number of items I purchased warranted one of the big bags. DH, DS, and I bought 8 cupcakes yesterday, for the three of us to consume, likely before tomorrow.

Fun! What did you get? (Feel free to describe both LLL & cupcakes.)
I had a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato for lunch - along with fries and a rootbeer. It was delish!! And now mh is requesting burgers and tater tots for dinner. Gee, can't imagine why I'm packing on the pounds. i need to sign up for another marathon to support my eating habits.
