I haven't bought a single thing for the baby. I'm beginning to think this is abnormal!
At 25 weeks I hadn't bought anything either. We were about to move and no one wants to deal with extra crap at a time like that. We've just now gotten settled and we're just now buying stuff at 36 weeks. I'll be 37 weeks by the time the kid has a crib. It is what it is and it's NBD. He doesn't need it yet.
Thank god for you saying this, lol.
We just moved, and I am not quite to viability yet, so I am still gonna wait for a while, probably 5 more weeks or at least until after I see the doctor.
Some people dont even use nail polish! Or eat soft serve ice cream.
Basically, some people are crazy.
My doc told me not to eat soft serve haha -- I told her I already ate some. Now, I it makes my stomach feel bad, so it's not even an issue. DH is paranoid about what I eat, but it comes from a good place and he's not a jerk about it. He will buy me whatever I am craving, but prefers I not eat what the doctor listed as "no-no foods."
Found out more about my maternity leave and all looks pretty good. I will get at minimum 18 weeks off (6 weeks unpaid, rest at disability pay or banked vacation time) and maximum possibly 21 weeks (depending if they let me tack on saved vacation time at the end of leave/if I get a c-section). DH may also take 6 weeks Family Leave (paid at disability rate) at the end of my time to extend the time the baby is out of day care.
Was scheduled for my 3rd a/s to get pics of the heart, but this time at the maternal fetal medicine office. They were able to get me in on the 28th, but I have to drive kinda far and take a 1/2 day - c'est la vie! Baby better cooperate this time
Oh and I am super excited b/c I scheduled my first pre-natal massage on Sunday.
J has been off the last 2 days and its awesome. I started pumping yesterday to work on building a fridge/freezer stash, and he was practically pushing me out the door to go to the grocery by myself so he could have man time with AJ and bottle feed him if need be. Not only did AJ take to the bottle well while I was on my first 100% solo outing in 4 weeks, but he took another bottle for J while the three of us were at dinner last night thus allowing me to enjoy a lovely glass of malbec
Plus AJ has had a 5 hour block of sleep for the last 2 nights, and since we had pumped milk in the fridge this morning J got up with him at 9am and let me sleep till 11am. AND I went on my first pp run today. What can I say, its been a great couple of days

rupertpenny GL with everything! I would keep this info to yourself to avoid what blindy dealt with. And you'll be smashing!
I am starting to wake up more than 3x a night now. I lost count last night. I am not pleased because every time I go from laying down to sitting up I get lightening crotch. And it fucking kills. Le sigh.
I got what might have been my last Brazilian wax before baby comes yesterday! I need to plan for my last haircut before baby arrives, and my last two nail appointments.
I'm eating tums like candy and washing them down with milk.
Is that helping? I ask because I've heard that for some, milk can make heartburn worse. So you could be counter-acting the tums. But if its working, keep it up!

It actually did help. I think it's acid reflux - if there is a different. My throat burns, but it doesn't go deep down into my chest. I don't even know if tums are for acid reflux.. but they seem to work on occasion. The combination did help though.
