I am a type A for the most part. I do, however, know how to relax and have fun - as I sit on my boat, drinking a beer, watching boat traffic on the bay.
I am a list maker, mutli-tasker. I will be commodore of our yacht club in 3 years. It is a 3 year progressive line, I will be installed in the lowest office in 3 weeks. In the next 2 years I'll have some specific responsibilities including planning my year. I already have 16 files set up for the various events/meetings/projects, etc I am such a take charge and organize the sht out of stuff person that working with the guy immediately ahead of me is going to kill me. He is a GREAT guy and I'm glad he's going to be Commodore but we work completely differently. The guy that is the 2014 Commodore is somewhere in between us so he and I will be fine. I think the wife of the guy ahead of me realizes I'm a "go-getter" type of personality and is worried I'll run circles around her husband. It shouldn't be that way - each person has their year to do things their way and it's not a competition but some people see it that way.
Example - I already have a tentative calendar of club events set up for my year. Next year's guy takes over in 3 weeks - he hasn't started his calendar. He told me we'll work on it in about 4 weeks so a week after we're installed. Uh no - set it up now, announce it when you are installed so people can plan vacations etc for next summer.
ok - sorry way off topic and not interesting to anyone but me. I love organizing and planning so I'm rally excited about this.
Yes yes yes to the loving of LISTS. Making a list when I'm stressed makes the world right again. I LOL'ed at the finishing of other people's sentences (I have no patience), and hating group work. I HATE group work, because I don't trust that the others will do their parts as well as I would. I used to make team members VERY happy in school because I'd always be like, eh, I'll do it (usually after they would show up with some half-assed written piece).
I do not identify with the always being on time thing, though, I have trouble getting to things on-time.
I got my notes for biochemistry bound with plastic covers, separated by test. I also made table of contents for notes in other classes. Also, my way is the right way because I have thoroughly thought through what is most accurate and efficient. I'm constantly analyzing the situation and my next move. I don't care what you say, you're doing it wrong!! Would you say I'm type A?
