Me:
Next month is my 1-year surgery anniversary. MY SURGEVERSARY! As of yesterday I am down 130 pounds from surgery date. WOW. It shocks me.
BLATANT AW-ING: I have already exceeded the weight loss goal my surgeon's group had determined as best case scenario. I'm 20 pounds away from my personal goal.
We joined the Y as a family. It's really nice AND they're completely rebuilding it so it's going to be in a brand new building (next to the old site) in November with expanded facilities. My husband is really into it which makes it awesome because we both egg each other on. They have free babysitting and Eleanor LOVES going to the playroom while we work out. I feel good working out-I used to think people talking about exercise making them feel good were trying to be superior and blah blah (fatty envy). Now I just feel really GOOD and proud of myself for doing something to make myself healthy.
Lately I've been working a lot at making fun family memories-H used to be resistant when I would try to plan family activities because he had such bad memories of the lame excursions he was subject to as a kid. I've worked at it and we've done some great family things lately that we all enjoy.
Eleanor is starting to really get potty training!!!
kevin arnold is a wonderful friend. I'm so glad for GBCN helping me find her.
H is started a new program on Monday which means he won't be doing shift work and will home every night for dinner for two months. I can't wait since making dinner for a 4 year and a one year is not fun or rewarding.
That I am almost 30 weeks and if I went into labor there is a good chance baby would be fine.
Eee Pug-I remember getting into the 30's (week wise) and relaxing a LITTLE because I knew if she had to be born there was a good chance things would be ok.
Your post makes me feel good. I'm really happy for you.
My H did something really nice for me on the weekend and said 'I'm trying to hear you the way you want me to hear you, because obviously my way isn't working'. That will make me feel good for awhile.
I feel good about moving ahead creatively, and professionally too, but it just feels great to be creative again.
What did I miss? Are you back to work now? And thumbs up for your H!
I put my hair up in some wild ponytail thing cause I was about to give my dog a bath. My daughter gasped when I walked in and said "oh my goodness mommy, you look like a beautiful princess ballerina girl!"
The fact that my kid says I'm beautiful even when I look like a troll doll, makes me feel pretty darn good

I am watching "Moonrise Kingdom" right now. Wes Anderson is my FAVORITE director (my favorite movie of ALL TIME AND SPACE is Rushmore) and watching this movie is making me super happy, even more so since I'm tipsy.

My friend M just emailed me to say that she is crashing my friend P's visit next month (they are bffs). I AM SO EXCITED! But now I feel like I need to send my H to a hotel to spare his delicate sensibilities from what happens when the three of us get together.
