That should be enough time for it to work out. But just to warn you--I would spot for a week or two whenever I tried to skip my period on the pill. I was on Loestrin at the time. Maybe something to ask your doc about, a different pill may not give you the same issue.

I have never been able to skip my period using the pill. It just results in constant light to moderate bleeding for me. I tried Seasonale and it was like being on a light day of my period every.single.day. I'd get maybe a day or two without bleeding, and then it started up again. If you don't know how your body reacts with trying to do this I might not try.

You can use this during your period and during sex. softcup.com/ It is awesome. Your H won't even be able to tell you are on your period. I'm not saying to lie about it, but it's so good that your partner really wouldn't know.
you should be fine--you can even start the pill a little earlier if need be. Just make sure you start the next pack right away and don't even be an hour late taking it from your usual time of day. I find this works better with the "regular" pill and not so well with yaz or beyaz.

I always needed two or three cycles if I wanted to do this...during the first one or two I usually had heavy spotting, by the third I'd shifted my period a week and things were good.
Skipping/shifting your period works best with a monophasic pill. I used to need a triphasic regimen, monophasic wasn't strong enough for me, which was part of the problem but unavoidable in my case.
Good luck, whatever you decide to do. Enjoy your weekend!
