Ugh lilafowler I feel your pain! They are so smart at everything except LIFE lol
True.
My PhD once decided he needed to pack only shirts for a 10 day business/vacation trip to Europe. I made a suggestion to pack extra pants, but was unheard. I met him in Strasbourg with a pair of jeans 4 days in. He had ripped the ass out of his only pair and sewn them up using butcher twine much as one would sew up the business end of a Thanksgiving turkey to contain the yummy stuffing.
Last week he was trying to write an email and kept getting a squiggly line under "shaked". He called out to me asking how to spell it since he also got squiggles when he wrote "sheaked" and "shaiked". "s-h-o-o-k" I said.
I feel like my H isn't meant to complete the doctoral program he is about to start. He's really pretty good at life. Especially grilled cheese making.
That is the saddest sandwich I've ever seen.
No, this will just make him awesome. I'm great at life, especially the parts related to food making and food eating. I can also drive a forklift. So there.

I don't think you can even call it a grilled cheese sandwich because
A.)It does not appear to be grilled. At all. B.) A teaspoon's worth of shredded cheese does not a grilled cheese sandwich make. C.)You can't even call it a cheese sandwich or cheese toast... its really just two sad pieces of vaguely buttered(?) bread with a miniscule sprinkle of cheese.
No one is this stupid. Your dh is trying to get out of making food by feigning ignorance. Don't fall for it.
I'd strangle him for this.
LOL. Exactly! It sounds like he really is a smart cookie; make bad sandwiches and now the child/spouse will insist doing their own cooking (or mom will have to make the kid's sandwich).
