they say Matilda seems like she isn't using her left arm at all. She is doing everything with her right and wont lift her left arm up over her head. They say she seems fine but she won't use her arm?! She doesn't cry if it is massaged or if they touch it, but she cries if they lift it over her head. aaah. What do I do? I asked their advice on whether I should bring her to doctor immediately and they said maybe we'll just monitor her today and see?
What would you guys do?
they said there was no incident where she fell/kids piled on her or anything like that so they don't know what its coming from.

I would wait, and just call back in an hour or so and check in. When Adam was like 1.5 he was not able to place weight on one of his leg's for like a few hours, but then all of a sudden he was fine. I tend to wait and see first.
ETA: I guess there is no harm though in calling Pedi to see what they say
Poor Matilda! I would call the pedi and see what they say. Sounds weird though. Maybe she did get pulled or pushed without them seeing. Keep us posted.
I'd wait until after naptime is over, call the center and see how she is doing and if they said it was the same, then I'd call the pedi.
This. I haaaaatttte seeing daycare's number on my phone. It's usually just a fever, but still. One time she called on my day off, and my heart sank before I realized J was with me! She was just asking for more diapers. Haha
I called hubby and we are going to wait an hour or two and then call them back and see what they say. It sounds terrible but I'd really rather not have to take her in. I've taken this friday off to take her to her 16 month appointment so I don't want to call in tomorrow. ugh. I mean I will if necessary obviously.
They said after her nap she still isn't using the arm but her pain level seems much improved but I was too paranoid so I called the pedis office anyway and they said we should bring her in now, just in case there is a dislocation.
poor hubby has to leave work immediately and go get her as I wouldn't be able to get there for over an hour with the train schedule and the doctor is leaving early today. Luckily he works only 20 minutes away!
I hope it is nothing! But best to be safe anyway otherwise I'd just have spent my whole night with her filled with paranoia anyway, watching every move etc.
I hope everything's okay! We've ended up in the ER twice with Caroline for nursemaid's elbow. The symptoms you're describing sound very similar. It's scary, but if that's what it is, once they pop the elbow back in, it's like immediate relief for her! I really hope all is well.
yup, its nursemaids elbow! Hubby said the doc knew pretty much immediately and said its very common and not a huge deal so not to worry. He popped it back into place so she's all set now.
Poor baby! my H said she's totally fine and none of it seemed to be bothering her but I am still sad I'm not with her snuggling her now
