I always wanted an only child. not sure why but I pictured myself with 1 lo. than I had a baby and I wanted another immediately now 1 have 2 and wish I was KU again but we are not decided if we will have 3 or not. 3 boys would be very expensive and time consuming with all the sports and food and crap. so 2 or 3
I'm an only child and always wanted a big family. If we lived out in the country or something I would want 4, but with our lifestyle we are stopping after 2. We like to travel and I really look forward to taking my kids hiking in Peru or China or Norway. There's no way we would be able to do that with more than two. I go back and forth between feeling guilty about killing our environment and wanting my kids to see the world like I didn't get to.

One, maybe two. We're going to discuss a second a long time from now. I go through phases of baby fever, but it only lasts a day or two and then I'm back to being happy with one. We've actually said we might let Zoe have a say in it. You know, ask her when she's a bit older if she'd like a sibling or not. That might sound silly/crazy, but we're totally serious.

I've asked Claire this just for fun and the answer changes each time. Maybe you'd get a real answer if she was older - 8 or so.

We're actually thinking something like that. I want some time to create a career with more flexibility than food service first. I know what path I'd like to take, and I want a few years to see how I fare before adding to our family.
ETA: Few years, meaning, a few years from when Zoe goes into school.
Id like 4. But if I had twins again thatd be 5. I could definitely not do more than that. But we can hardly even swing this financially now, so I dont know about ever having a 4th.
1 and done! From the articles I have read they said there are more couples choosing to have only 1 child but this board is not in agreement with that statistic
I would like 4 and H would like 5. I think we will take it a step at a time and there is a possibility we will be done at 3. Ideally I want 4 but after the 3rd it might be all that we can handle. I don't think I will know until we get there.
We want 4 but take it pregnancy by pregnancy.... I could see us being the duggars (with spacing) as Wellbutrin have no idea where the money would come from so 3-4 is realistic.
Lol, Wellbutrin helps you manage kids too!
Auto correct is so helpful, maybe this is Mrs Duggar's trick?
Now that they are here and we will probably have to move to the suburbs at some point, i find myself thinking of adopting a little girl when the boys are older. I always thought if we had a child, we would adopt.
But, most days I think I am insane and should think of how much more we can get out of life with only 2 kids. I'll just have to buy all the cute clothes for my friend's daughters
I can't even comprehend more than 3. You 4+ers are a different breed.
Lol, I agree! 2 was always our number. If I was rich and could SAH I'd consider three, but overall I'm happy to stop at 2. DH says 1-2, so he's on board with 2. We are looking at a 2.5 - 3 year spacing.
