Because it's officially that time of year where these thoughts obsessively take over my brain. Inspire me!
Okayy... Do you like either of these ideas?
#1 (black pants can be replaced by skinny jeans but I think I like the black?)
Or #2 Those are the J.Crew maternity pants and they look a similar wine color but it wouldn't be the exact color of course. Violet would also need to wear a white?? shirt underneath the jumper because it will be cold. I wouldn't wear the top of that model, just the pants. Is that too much wine color??

I can't even figure out our timing, and I hate it. I like outdoor ones, but it's too early here, and I don't know how long I should wait after he's born, you know? Plus, I kind of dont want to be HUGE in photos, but I also dont want to be puffy and postpartum. Ugh, I really just want to have family pictures be Matt and the kids, minus me. But when they're like 10, they'll ask why Momma wasn't in any. There's no way I'm looking good, and I don't really want that memorialized forever.

End sad panda rant! Ahaha
I understand, that is so hard! I didn't want to be in the photos either since I'm awkwardly pregnant but I just decided to get over it. And I'll make sure there are some solo pics of V in case I hate the family ones.
You'll look great post partum! Wear a dark color and hold that gorgeous baby over your belly

I like the city stroll collection for an outfit for Violet but I feel like that is a strange red. I don't know what would go with it for me and my husband to wear.

I still love this jacket. But is it weird to have her wear a jacket if we aren't? Could I pair it with maybe navy pants or no? That might be too red/white/blue. Tan pants? I'm trying to think of another color to add to the color scheme bc that weird red, cream and tan is a little boring.

kkfeb04 Your kids are going to look so cute in those outfits. They have such a classic look, with those adorable baby doll blush cheeks. I can't wait to see your pics!

This! I love what you picked out.
I would like to do family pictures this Christmas since we skipped them last year. I'm thinking purple for G and a polo shirt for DH? Not sure yet while I'll wear.

What about a denim skirt for V? That wouldn't look too red/white/blue and would look cute with the coat. Or maybe a tan skirt, and I still think you and DH could wear something navy and tan and be fine.
Straightleg black pants or cropped black pants and boots or. Skinny jeans and maryjanes
I think navy would look weird
Ooh I might like the skinny jeans and mary janes. Black would be good too because it would open up options for me and my H... but is black weird for christmas cards?

I would love a skirt but then I'm going to need tights too which complicates it. But it could be cute.

NO! Says the person that is putting the kids in black. We wore red and black last year too.

I might like it because we are going for a more urban/city chic look this year. We'll prob take our photos in front of brown stones.
I think skinny jeans and mary janes would be perfect!
I was just laughing to myself thinking about how last year your husband was so involved in helping me with my outfits lol.
If Violet wore that what colors could me and DH wear? I'm having a hard time with the red and I'm afraid of us being too plain. I do have this polka dot sweater that is tan that *might* work?? not sure how it could look with my preg belly though

Haha yeah and then he didn't help at all with ours!
I think the sweater would work great! And then your H could wear khakis and maybe a shirt with red in it?
I like #2. What shirt would you wear? And what about your H's outfit?
No freaking idea but atleast I'd have a starting point. I was thinking/hoping for myself to wear a maternity tank that is tight and then a cardigan over it. I want to look as pregnant as possible and I think that's my best bet.

I like the tank and cardigan idea, that's what I'd do too. I'm trying to think of what other color you could throw in there..

Black maybe? White/cream? Violet is going to need to wear a shirt underneath that jumper. I can't figure out which shirt J&J expects me to pair with it but I think it's a short sleeved one that isn't going to work. So I was thinking white or cream for her.
Don't hate me, but I really don't like that swing coat. It makes me think of Raggedy Ann for some reason. lol
I like where you are going with outfit 2, but I would not wear wine pants if you are putting her in the wine tights. I think you could wear a cream colored sweater, skinny jeans, and boots and then your H.. ? I don't know. I almost said navy shirt and khakis, but then that is basically the reverse of you and would probably look weird.
I like where Tamb is going here. What about a burgundy cardigan for you? I bet you could find one since I think it'll be a popular color this season. I might pair that with a shimmery tank in a light gold color.

Yes, Christmas card. And now I can see Raggedy Ann, lol.
I really want to wear the new J.crew maternity pants. They come in that color, which I thought could be potentially perfect, and also navy black and gray. I'd like to avoid wearing jeans if possible because I think my top will be really casual. Hmm...
