I was all emo in my LiveJournal back in the day lol
I agree with pp...teens have always been melodramatic, they just have a very public forum for that drama now. Thank god Facebook didn't exist when I was in high school...at least my online journal isn't linked to my face.

What about 25 year olds? I actually don't know any teenagers.

I had a MySpace blog.
I read it before I deleted my profile and I can't believe I left that shit up for everyone to see. I want to go back in time to slap the shit out of my 22-year old self for writing shit like that. So emo.
i have an emo relative who is too old to be emo (hint: this person is not MY sibling). no teeny shorts (although one of the 2nd year associates at my firm keeps posting teeny short photos from her weekend jaunts and i'm like "uh, you know we're FB friends, right?), but things like (these are real):
-If I ever get around to living . . . -I will be who I am, even if it confuses others . . . -Live everyday . . . you never know . . .

Wtf?
Anyway, yeah. The tiny shorts crack me up. They're not just short, but super tight, painfully tight. It looks like girls have been watching Reno 911 for fashion tips.

those of us who were teens back in the late 70's early 80's didn't have the internet to express our darkest thoughts, so we wrote poetry instead. Oh and wore short shorts with knee socks and converse.
