This is a concern of mine if we have another baby and with Madison being in daycare. I was tested last year when I was having severe joint pain since parvovirus can cause that in adults and I was not immune.

My cousin actually just did a blog post about this. She is currently 17 weeks along and she had 5th's disease in her 3-4th week or pregnancy. She had the bloodwork done and it came back positive for the antibodies. They had to wait until her 17th week where they did a very detailed ultrasound to check for anemia and heart issues in the baby. With her explanation, she said that there is a 'waiting period' of 10 weeks after having Fifth's Disease where it's possible that it can cross the placenta and harm the baby. If the baby did show signs of issues (detectable at 17 weeks gestation) then they would do a blood transfusion through the umbilical cord. She recommended the website fifthsdisease.org for more information.
It's a really scary situation for you and I am so very sorry you're going through this. You are most definitely in my prayers and I hope your OB calls you back ASAP and monitors you very closely. ((hugs))
