Yes, very busy. Almost everyday at dc they mark her as "energetic" in her disposition for the day. She runs everywhere, constantly pushing something around the house and fast, climbing onto everything. She does stop to dance occasionally for the intro of a show she likes to listen to the music but does not ever really watch for more than a minute. She recently started building her mega blocks and sits there for a good bit of time which shocked me. She also likes to be read to and loves lots of cuddles and hugging too.
I have half and half, too. Mostly she's very busy destroying, climbing, and yelling (lately with small breaks of manic hugging), but when I really need a break I can turn on one of her favorite shows and she'll be pretty good watching it. If it's not one of those shows (currently Daniel Tiger, Bubble Guppies, Team UmiZoomi and sometimes Sid The Science Kid), she's get bored after a few minutes and resume the destroying, climbing, and yelling. And dragging things around the house making random piles to throw herself on top of. Weirdo
I gave up on saying "no." I ignore most of the time and have just accepted that the house will be a mess, they will climb everything, push furniture all over, and destroy whatever they can.
The only TV they will watch is Wheel of Fortune. Like, they run and sit down in front of the TV and clap. I need a 3 hour DVD of that show.

We have a very high energy one here. His new thing is that he flies around the house, arms forward like Superman, yelling "flying! Zoooom!" He is always asking to go for a walk, which means a run. He climbs on chairs, in his stroller, jumps on the couch, pretty much tries to get into everything. Daniel Tiger, Mickey Mouse, and Big Block Singsong are just about the only things that stop him in his tracks.
What is this "chilling" you speak of? I know nothing of the sort in my house! So IF it makes you feel any better, you are not alone, lol.
^This. I used to think DS was active until I had DD. At four, DS now asks to go play in his room (his safe haven where he can close the door on his sister without getting into trouble) sometimes so he can get away from the craziness that surrounds his sister.

I think he's busy. He's never still. He's never been one to chill on the couch and watch a show. Lately he has started bringing my books and wants to sit in my lap while I read ( well speed read otherwise he's off and running before we finish).
Today he hid my wallet from me and I searched for 2 hours to find it in my shoes. He also threw his water shoes away in the garbage.
