Gah, I tried SO. HARD. to use it. I tried three different types, with and without tiny paper filters, with every which kind of coffee. I always ended up with fine grinds in the coffee and a mess. I gave up.
It has a reusable filter. You can buy it at BB&B It doesn't seem too much of a hassle to me. We ground our beans up for the week on Sunday. and we refill and dump the filter as we use it.
@dovey1122, do you get fine grounds in the coffee?
I've used that same kind and never had grounds in my coffee. Do you grind your own beans? If you do, you could have them a tiny bigger than normal.
I have not ground my own beans. Is that the secret? I've tried multiple kinds of coffee with the same result. Is there some sort of device that allows you to control how find the grounds are?
I use the red one as well. Use very coarse grounds and pack it as full as you can. I get a strong cup of coffee and then I take it out, open it, and bang it against the inside of the trash can. The grounds come out in one or two large clumps and then I just wash it. Easy and not messy!
I use one by EkoBrew and love it. It empties out really easily, I just bang it against the inside of the trash can, then I rinse it in the sink to get the last bit of grounds out. I use regular ground coffee pre-packaged from the store, and it's good. I rarely end up with grounds in my coffee.
Ah, now I feel bad, as I've totally gifted a reusable cup 2or3 times w/ no research thinking it's the PERFECT gift! (It wasn't any that are listed here & was like $12 @ BBB ((shuddup- the gift incl more items!!!)) I'm a 2/3 of a pot/ day drinker, so stay away from Kuerig's (sp?), but now I'm no longer wondering why I never really got a gift rave follow up

That's the one I have.
I don't get grounds in my coffee...it's just a messy hassle to clean out the used grounds!
I'm not a coffee drinker myself, but when I make coffee for guests this is what I use, too, and I've never had reports of grounds in coffee. And I just rinse it directly into the garbage disposal, so it's not messy at all, either. We keep the whole beans in the freezer and just grind as needed. Way, way cheaper than the k-cups.

I thought coffee stayed fresher longer out if the freezer?
Really? I thought that's how it was supposed to be stored. Should I just be storing them in the fridge? TMYK!

I have this, and don't find it messy. Tap it over the garbage to empty then rinse in the sink. Throw it in the dishwasher every few days.

I keep my beans in my pantry.
Coffee stays best if frozen long-term, but you aren't supposed to keep it in there to use daily, the moisture balance gets effed by taking it in and out constantly.
Is there a certain kind of coffee I should use? I tried using regular flavored coffee but it was so weak in the reusable kcup that I gave up.
Are you using a coarse ground and really packing the K-Cup?
It was just a bag of Starbucks house blend we had. I packed the cup but it's like the water forced through and never even circulated through the coffee. I stopped using it after a few tries. No patience here lol.
