I spent $2700 on car repairs last week. Today the check engine light came on.
This happened to us a few weeks ago! I'm so sorry. Cars are the worst.
I once brought my car to Sears for an oil change and to get a new oil filter put on. I left the car there and wondered around the mall for about an hour and then returned and paid for the job they did. One month later my dad was checking under the hood and said my oil was old and needed to be changed. I said I just had it done a month earlier. He said it was black and old, plus the oil filter he put a year earlier was still there and needed to be changed out. He knew that because he always writes a date on the oil filter to let him know how old they are.
I paid Sears to work on my car and all they did was re-park it and charge me for work that wasn't even done. I gave the manager an ear full when I returned.
Dd's teacher actually uses him as a motivator for the kids in class! He showed us a super cute video at Cirriculum Night. I love him!
Another random: I was talking to h last night about how I haven't had a haircut or color since right after K was born and really need one but don't want to spend the money to get it done professionally since money is kind of tight with the new house and renos and stuff. He told me to do it anyway because I deserve it and we would just be really careful about spending money this month. I love him. So, so much.
DD, her BFF and their homecoming dates are exchanging mums/garters tonight... at my house, where we have barely been except to sleep and is trashed. DH volunteered to clean the house for me since she is still a bit loopy and then I learn that my parents will be at my house at 7am so DH can help my step dad fix his truck. Que the mad dash around my house till after 11:30 last night cleaning because heaven forbid my house looks like a wreck when my parents are stopping by, even though they really don't care.
I'm so tired of working on my house. My cabinets are almost done but jesus, it's a lot of work. I still have to paint the bathroom and David's room, then David's bed H is making. Ugh! And it has to be done this month. And H is traveling this week. I hate my life right now, lol.
I am so anxious to see before and afters! But sorry your life sucks.
Rock n play! I hold her until she's asleep then put her down.
I also found that I couldn't swaddle her tight enough with regular blankets so I have been using the SwaddleMe.
I am buying one today!!lol
A is sleeping in his rock n play too. He doesn't like being to tightly swaddled, but I swaddle him, nurse him and then put him in it. He didn't wake up at all last night, I had to wake him for all his feedings. It has to be the incline, because laying him in his crib or bassinet doesn't work. Buy it now!
I just typed up a release form for my cheerleaders to participate on a team tumblr (PW protected, edited by me) and for me to be able to text them if I need to. Never had to do this before. THANKS POPE JOHN PAUL II/BENEDICT XIV/OBAMAbecausewhynot?
What? is this regular practice? I text my girls all the time, should I have them sign a release?
I'm not sure. We are a Catholic school, and my sister works for the archdioceses' investigations department, so she advised me to do it. I am covering my ass!
I threw some apples, sugar and cinnamon in the crockpot last night. Woke up this morning to the most ahh-mazing apple butter. I must.make.more. I'm thinking of using it for Christmas gifts. Would you enjoy a basket of assorted jellies, jams and fruit butters as a Christmas gift?
Looks like I'll only have about 30% of my normal Christmas list to buy this year anyway. I've been officially uninvited to my family's Christmas festivities, lol.
