I like Nerdist, it's a great pop culture podcast. Nerdist is also a network of podcasts and pretty much anything they do is good. If you like current event podcasts, I like Fresh Air by NPR, TED Radio Hour by NPR, The Current by CBC, and TED Talks Audio. If you like radio dramas, We're Alive is really, really good. The Leviathan Chronicles is okay, too.

I never listen to all my podcasts, but I do love Wait Wait Don't Tell Me and On the Media. The Splendid Table is a good food one. Talk of the Nation is off the air now, but I have several saved up. I think The Onion also has a podcast...
My list is pretty long. I listen a lot while at work when I'm not on the phone.
Wait wait don't tell me Nerdist By the way - Jeff Garlin Girl on guy - Aisha Tyler TED radio hour Planet money WSJ Stuff mom never told you Stuff you missed in history class Slate political gabfest Real time with Bill Maher 60 Minutes This american life Fresh air 99% invisible
I also listen to podcasts from a local sports station
Welcome to Nightvale. Not CEP-related, but it surpassed This American Life as the most popular podcast in the country in July. Their description is "as if Lake Wobegon was reinterpreted by Stephen King."

I eventually listen to every episode of the following (sometimes binge listening on a plane): This American Life, Savage Love Cast, and Serial
I pick and choose episodes of the following: Pop Culture Happy Hour, NPR food, Splendid Table, America's Test Kitchen, Audiolab, Ask Me Another, Slate Serial Spoilers, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, and Rotten Tomatoes (this one really just for the OITNB spoiler and analysis episode)
I'm totally and shamelessly self-promoting our family's podcast, UnpauseIt.
Our family of four reviews nerdy entertainment; right now we're reviewing all of the Avengers movies, in order of release, leading up to Infinity War. We'll also do video games, comic-con events, etc.
It's surreal to hear my kids' voices on a podcast on iTunes.
for a fluffier listen I like For the Love with Jen Hatmaker. Although the one with the guy talking about the enneagram this week was a total snooze. Enneagram stuff does NOT interest me.

I'm loving More Perfect lately.
I also loved Adapted... I'm not sure if they're making new episodes now or not. They haven't had a new one in a while. It's basically interviews with Korean American adopters who now, as adults, live in Korea

On a totally not serious/political note,I became obsessed with paranormal podcasts over the summer. My favorites are real ghost stories online, astonishing legends and more recently two girls one ghost.
sushi which of the podcast recommendations did you end up loving after you started this thread in 2013?
I've gone through so many iterations. Crooked media has come on the scene, so I have a few of those thigh don't listen religiously. I still listen to sawbones, tal radiolab, and various stuff you... (history and know) every ep.
Ive added death sex money and really enjoy. That goes with the above of lonely permanent on the list.
I'm experimenting with court appointed.
For serials I really enjoyed first season of offshore (note: I lived a few blocks away when it happened). Enjoyed s town. I don't know how to categorize more perfect since I thought it was only a few eps but now see there was a 2nd season I haven't listened to.
Reply all is on my reader after a rec, but I haven't listened yet. Same with embedded. I listen even fewer hours than I did back in 2013.
I’m a loooong time lover of Stuff You Missed in History Class! Like, the Katie and Sarah days...
Aside from things already mentioned: Criminal and Ear Hustle.
Criminal is real life crime but not solely murder or heinous stuff. She just did one on a crime author critic; she did another on book theives that cops won’t track down, etc. It’s all kinds of crime.
Ear Hustle is about life in San Quentin prison. It’s hosted by a woman who volunteers there and an inmate. They talk about all sorts of thinga. You get to know the prisoners and their stories. It’s very well done.
