I ran 12 miles on Sunday and was so sore yesterday. That's the longest run I will have until my half (which is under 4 weeks away!) so I was happy to get it out of the way. It was mentally and physically tough.
I'm hoping to head out at lunch today for a short run so I can catch the ALCS game after work.
I'm doing dance class once a week and I just went to a class at a Pilates studio that's about releasing deep tension and then strengthening. I'll probably do that done more, and then when my back feels better add in some other exercise.

I'm down 10lbs so I treated myself to 4 new shirts (I'd been hoarding the GC from my ILs).
I made a TON of soup/stew yesterday and portioned it out for lunches and to freeze. By bringing my lunch I've been saving a lot of money and I'm better able to control how much I eat.
If I feel snacky, I drink a lot of water first and see if I'm still hungry. If I am, I have a little trail mix which gives me protein and sweetness.
I've also been using Diet Snapple flavor packets in my water.

"Home" is my problem.
I eat really good at work. I also pack and it's usually a veggie and a turkey sandwich. Apple for a snack. Breakfast is usually a mini bagel with cream cheese and a piece of fruit (banana). And coffee, lol.
But once I get home... hello snacking. The weekends are really bad.

I keep nothing snacky in the house really. And not for lack of wanting it. I just know that I'll gorge.

Bake and keep a limited amount in the house. Give the rest to the new neighbors or to your co-workers. OR even better, allow yourself a limited amount of snacks.
We really don't deny ourselves too much. H still makes pies and ice cream and I still do a little baking. We just make it all last a really long time.
doglove, that is amazing. I'm seriously in awe of you. I wanted to die after three miles - and I didn't even run it all.
The first three usually suck for me, but once I can get past 3 then I start to get into a groove. I did well until I hit a wall at 9 and just eeked out the final 3, but I was sore and mentally exhausted. I'm not ever doing a half after this again. I know I said that after the last one.
