I weaseled my way out of taking dd and ds fishing and to the playground. I'm blissfully alone in my house until I have to meet DH and the kids at the inlaws for the Cowboys game.
DH and I just cleaned out my car. We are going to head out to a new burger place in a bit and then go and shampoo the rugs on my car. I'm going to my moms house later this evening to stay the night because I am working from my old office tomorrow. I have a dentist appointment tomorrow afternoon and I know they are going to want me to schedule an appointment to get my wisdom teeth out.
I found the BEST stretchy skinny jeans at Costco. I never ever wear skinny jeans because I look absolutely ridiculous, but I figured I would give them a shot and I'm so glad I did. They even make ME look good. Lol. I want to go back and buy every colour, and for only $13.99, I just might.
That sucks Booze Raccoon I am sure they will serve dinner, right?
We are hiking up to the lake at Maroon Bells, then I am watching Case Keenum start for the Texans while we eat lasagna. We fly home late tonight.
Ohhh enjoy! That hike is beautiful. Post pictures, please.
We're heading out shortly for coffee and to play with some shelter dogs. I'm thinking today is not the day for a new pup, but maybe the interaction will be good. It will certainly tug on my heart strings to leave them there.
I need to meal plan go grocery shopping. CostCo has Head ski mittens, so I'm going to buy a pair. I get new ski gloves every season because nothing keeps my fingers warm enough. I've never had mittens. Fingers crossed they work!
RoxMonster, I want to see pictures of your photo shoot!
Relaxing. Sorting through and trying on an insane stack if jeans. I swear I have everything from sz 16 kids a&f, 2-8's.. I have a jean problem, but I wear one I like as much as I can. Then move on, and since I was in hospital last week I'm at mom's until the movers come I'm hoping Tuesday, but probably Friday or Thurs afternoon. It's just big pieces in small house. I'm not panicking. Not to mention everyone thinks I'm going to drop dead any second and won't let me carry stuff or go out. I'm like that twin that's locked away, except I'm not a twin just babbling.
I need to go to Target & Such to replace things the EMS broke on Sunday, but I went out last night on a LOW-key cross state lines trip to PA on a date I had cancelled due to um well being in ICU this time last week. Great guy, he's incredibly smart, he knows my flaws (which are none) & we've been talking for 2 weeks before last night. I tried to cover the bruises, but he knew. Didn't want to look like a damn clown! I felt like I was talking to someone I had known forever. There was a huge private party of people he knew, but had no clue they were going THERE, and everyone had comments of such positive things.
Went to church now we're headed to my parents' house for my mom's birthday. She might be mad at me and I want to rip out my aching uterus so this should be fun.
Just bought this to wear to my mom's wedding in Jamaica when I'll be 23 weeks. I hope it fits right. She really wants everyone in teal/turquoise. It took me forever to find something I liked that wasn't crazy expensive.
Also a lazy day for us. We ran around all day yesterday for our "family fun day" (lol, we're so cheesy) and we went for 14 hour straight. Me and H are beat, we are so damn old. H is building Lego's with David and I'm menu planning and watching Top Chef. Exciting!
I discovered I have an irrational love towards Brad Pitt. I always knew I liked him and have grown to REALLY like him over the years seeing him with the kids. But I didnt realize how deep it was until I was uncomfortable at him being in harms way while watching World War Z. I no likey my Brad in harms way. I was stressed the entire movie! Plus I hate fast zombies!
I'm still on the couch drinking my second cup of coffee. But I did get a pot roast in the crock pot between cups.
Once H and I are ready to leave the house, we're headed to Shake Shack for lunch and then a walk in Central Park.
The vet diagnosed my cat with seasonal allergies last week (he's been scratching his ears a lot lately). But we were reluctant to make him miserable by forcing Claritin down his throat daily. Last night he started sneezing - it's so sad and hilarious at the same time. He'd wake up from a nap, and sneeze until he fell asleep. He is sneezing a lot this morning, too. Guess we're starting to give him allergy meds today!
Rox (our lab) has seasonal allergies. She's on an antihistamine through the spring, parts of summer, and fall. Without it, she itches like crazy! She also has sensitive skin and food allergies, so we have to feed grain-free and give her probiotics and fish oil supplements daily. I feel like this dog is probably healthier than I am at this point lol.
I slept in, grabbed brunch and cleaned a bit. About to go to the grocery store. I want to get some writing done this evening, do some laundry and clean some more. It's a quiet day.
We just left the pumpkin patch and I'm exhausted. After the hayride I found hay in my underwear. How did it get in there? DS had a blast like a legit blast. I always thought it was best to do Disney when kids are old enough to walk the park but OMG he loved it and now I want to take him to all the things to make him laugh.
We have some candied pecans, a jar of honey and a giant bag of kettle corn. I almost bought a butter pecan apple crumb pie but it was $19. Effff that.

Our kitty has the worst infestation of worms our vet has ever seen. We've had him 3 years, and tried multiple treatments. The vet keeps thinking we've gotten rid of the worms and then after 4 or 5 months he'll puke up another worm (and he's completely indoors, so he's definitely not getting reinfested). We're finally feeling like we may have beaten that, and now the allergies start!
I've been worried about having to give him daily pills because he HATES it. But he has now eaten two meals of his wet food with liquid children's Claritin mixed in. So fingers crossed we can just give him the liquid in his food and not have to add a daily pill.
There was a bit of drama at my mom's birthday dinner today. We were sitting at the table eating and all of a sudden my dad jumps out of his seat and runs across the house. We thought he was getting sick or something. He was gone for a couple of minutes and I decided to go check on him. He was in the laundry room. After he grilled, he took the grates off the grill and started filling up the big sink in the laundry room to soak them to clean them. He forgot about it and the sink overflowed and flooded the laundry room so bad that water was pouring from the ceiling into their finished basement. I ran and got towels and my BIL was holding a towel against the basement ceiling with a broom. It was a huge mess.

I slept until almost 11 this morning. Good thing, because my kid was a beast all day. Whining and bursting into tears for no reason and only wanting me to hold her. Omg.
