Since this is kind of the "crafty" thread...
I finished another blanket the other day. I have no idea what to do with this one. It's fuschia, lime green, and white... It has been dubbed the Watermelon Blanket. I think I may see if my friend can sell it for me.
And I started on another one. Not sure what I'll do with it either, but I like this hobby. It keeps my hands occupied and lets me clear my head after DS goes to bed. I may have to figure out how to make more than just blankets if I'm going to continue this though.

I love to crochet in the winter. My grandmother taught me and it always reminds me of her.
Me too, but I do it all year round. My grandmother made me (and each of my siblings) a chevron blanket when we were born and my mom has done the same for each of her grandkids. I had my mom teach me right after my grandma died.
The great thing about crocheting blankets in the winter is that the longer they get the warmer you stay!

That's the idea
My mom can't crochet. I know my mom tried to learn, but she couldn't get the hang of it.
But my MIL made my son and my niece beautiful baby blankets.

My mom is quite possibly one of the craftiest people I've ever met in my life. She's truly amazing. Sewing, crochet, baking, painting, knitting, cake decorating, she's done a million things. I didn't really appreciate all of the hand made things we had growing up until I was older, and it makes me a little sad that she put in so much effort and it wasn't always acknowledged.

As a rule of thumb, you always NEED more fabric. Boyfriend was trying to convince me that I should only buy more fabric if I had less than three projects worth if fabric left. I am pretty sure I just laughed. I want to see your fabric!
Also, I want to AW my mom because she is seriously amazing and I would be lost without her. Her quilts are amazing but she also knits and crochets and can make anything she decides she wants to.

My H is usually an enabler, which is why he got a sad face, lol.
I'm afraid to show you the fabric, lol. You'll probably tell me it's crap.

Show me the fabric PS! Also, keep in mind that a crack addict might realize the difference between good crack and bad crack but bad crack is still exciting.
