T minus 1.5 hours until I go out there. It's a little chilly today, but I think it'll be good running weather. I actually drank a coke at lunch so hopefully that'll keep me boosted at the start.
Chirp No way! He didn't think you'd need to know about any of this? Maybe he was just gloating and exaggerating to his friend?
I don't even understand how he could think that would fly?
Yep, he said that. And no, he wasn't exaggerating. The guy he was talking to is one of his hunting friends. He saw me do the Jon Stewart impression while he was on the phone and realized I wasn't having it.
As soon as he got off the phone, just to drive the point home, I told him I signed up for a sewing class. It starts 12/21 (the first Saturday he won't be hunting) and runs every Saturday for 8 weeks. Yeah, passive aggressive and a total lie, but it got the point across.
The conversation will continue tonight. And he can kiss my ass if he thinks he's going to tie up the next 8 Saturdays (which would tie up the Sunday following if he actually gets anything on the 5 hunting days) with hunting. Fuck that noise.
After the hell I'm going through today, I'm just wanting to go home and sleep for about two full days. (See my "dammit" post on ML) Instead, I'll likely get out of work well after 7 and have so much crap piled up today that I won't get to that I'll be working tomorrow, too.
I let him stew over it for a few minutes and then told him I don't actually have a sewing class. I just wanted him to put himself in my shoes, and that's the best way to do it. He said it got the point across; he was momentarily pissed that I tied up that many days for a sewing class without asking if he minded. Why yes, that was my point.
He admitted he's being an asshole. Tonight's conversation is re-working his hunting schedule, 'cause NO. I told him I have no problem with him going hunting a couple times. I didn't say he could tie up 2 months worth of weekends to do it.
My plan is to get him down to tomorrow and the 9th for pheasant (both days that the game lands are stocked), one Saturday for scouting, and two days for deer. It seems reasonable to me.
It's all good. H was only going because I wanted to go, but we might still try and do something ourselves...maybe. Or I might buy pacific rim and we can watch it with some beer after the kids are in bed.
He's a shitty shot, they can only shoot buck** and we have nowhere to put a deer if he were to get one (our chest freezer is still full from the venison my dad gave us last year).
**They procrastinated too long and the doe tags were all sold out until they got their application in.
Tiramisu, I think I need to start following you around to all your dance/yoga/exercise classes. I have mostly given up on solving my neck and back problems but you're giving me hope again.
See, I would follow tiramisu around because she's a pretty hot POA. And she's fun
Aw shucks, thanks. ::blushes::
captainmel you should! Come visit and come with me! I've felt like I'd live with this pain forever, but I'm encouraged. Or see if there's anyone near you who does MELT Method.

I will look into it tiramisu! Have you tried any of the books on it or just the classes? There seems to be one place that's certified but I can't find any pricing info on their website which scares me a bit.

I've just done two classes so far, but was thinking about getting the book and roller. I think there may be a DVD too. The teacher I've been to said all you need to do is a basic 10-min sequence each day to benefit.
