I know it's not Peapod. I was just giving you a heads up that some grocery delivery services charge you a fee for not being there to receive the elivery.
If I spend less than $100, delivery costs $9. If I spend $100 or more, delivery is $6. I often get coupons for free delivery, too. If I pick a "green window" for delivery (usually early hours) I can get a $2 discount on the delivery fee.
I use Peapod by Stop & Shop. Apparently Giant does Peapod as well.
I get the same sales that are current in store, and there are additional sales available if you order online for delivery. I don't do this enough - but you are also able to hand them an envelope with manufacturer coupons and they will reimburse you on those, the next day.
It's SO worth my time. I no longer have to deal with crowds on weekends, fight for parking, etc. It's awesome. I order about twice per month, and fill in the gaps at a small local store, or Whole Foods, as needed.
