Doglove- winter time means itchy skin for me. I found out last year if I use St. Ives Oatmeal body wash I don't itch. Maybe change your soap. I also know my problem is I like very hot showers. I am very lobster like after a shower, but now with my soap. I don't itch.
Thanks - I take luke warm showers (ugh) and use a Dove sensitive skin soap. I have been using lotion though to help during the winter months.
Oh doglove, I just thought of something else. I also use a spray on body oil from Julep called Beach Tonic or something like that. You use it post shower and I really like it.

I use Cetaphil Restoraderm body wash (with a shower pouf) during the drier months.
You can wash your face without standing in the shower, you know. Your hair will adapt. This is the number one change that helps my itchy winter skin. Special soaps and lotions only go so far.
It depends upon my sweat output. Even if I work out, I definitely don't wash my hair every day. I only wash it twice a week, unless circumstances state otherwise.
Skip showering the days you don't work out and see if it helps your skin at all.
