just logged on and didn't read a single response but I dated an Xpointer for like 7 years and I love it there. Such a beautiful part of the country. I hope it works out bc it would be an amazing opportunity for all of you.
Hey, at least you don't have to worry about cleaning your house before you put it in the market like most of us would have to. I'm pretty sure yours is already "open house ready!"

This is such a great career opportunity for your husband. I'm sure everything will fall into place and yay for no deployments for awhile. Congratulations Cream family!
Woohoo! That is so great :-) Six months is oodles of time to plan a move... you guys are going to sail through this transition (but if you hit a bump or two, feel free to unload on me. I've got an unemptiable well of moving crisis empathy over here!)
PS/ PB says that "unemptiable" is not a real word. Whateves.
Congratulations to you guys on the new position! 6 months sounds both stressful and doable. What does this mean again in terms of deployment? I know you explained before that it was part of the reason he was looking for other opportunities?

So I mapquested it (because I am admittidly creepy like that) and you will be 23 minutes from my home town, where my parents still live. FUCK YEAH!!! You will likely be 10-15 from my BFF who is a few towns over.
Why did I leave NY?
HOLY SHIT!! Everyone can be jealous now, because I totally see some awesome GTGs in my future with Cream (heart) Next summer I am moving too (still MA) and I will no longer work weekends so I'll be coming to NY more often to see my family.
Cream, please lean on me if you need help with that area, as I spent 22 years of my life living in the Hudson Valley, you will be soooo happy there. The Hudson is beautiful, it's a quick ride to NYC, the Bear mountain area is amazing, So happy for you. What a great opportunity.

That is scary and exciting all at the same time. I hope you have concreted details soon so that you can plan accordingly. The housing market seems to be out of the slump, so that might help you sell quickly.

I hate that you and I grew up like 20 mins from each other and never knew each other.
Same here Cream. If there is any help I can provide, do not hesitate.
