1. 12 weeks! 2. We told the rest of our family on Thanksgiving. They were all so surprised and excited. It was great! We also ordered the furniture for the nursery today. 3. Nope. 4. Everything! Decorating, making cookies, hosting Christmas dinner, presents!
2. Hit any PG milestones, have any PG stories to tell? Half way there! And we go for our 20 week ultrasound Wednesday and hopefully get to stop calling the baby "it"
3. Are you cheating on any of the diet restrictions? E.g., taking a sip of alcohol, having some cold cuts, etc.? I've had a hot dog or two at a sporting event and I had a glass of wine at Thanksgiving
4. Non-PG question: What are you most excited about this holiday season? My ex having to go on a trip for a little over a week and me not having to deal with the back and forth with DS. And the two weeks I get off at the end of the month.
1. 7 weeks 4 days 2. My ultra sound is Friday. I can't wait and it seems forever away. 3. Definitely have had lunch meat on Panera sandwiches, but I don't know if that is bad. I had hotdogs too which I read are bad, but I don't know why. Also tasted my husband's fizzy gin but it wasn't even enough to swallow. 4. Telling my family about the baby! (making it pg related. lol). Also, no work for over two weeks!
Lunch meat isn't bad, but the machines they use to cut it can harbor listeria. Pregnant women are at a higher risk for listeria. I can't remember why hotdogs are bad, but my doctor told me to avoid them.
Hot dogs are bad because of nitrates. Eat in moderation is what I was told.

1. 9 weeks, 2 days 2. We told our families on Thanksgiving. My cousin also announced her pregnancy. We are a week apart. 3. I have had a cup of coffee or soda here and there. 4. Getting to do all of the traditions with my DD. DD is 4 and is really into everything Christmas.
2. Hit any PG milestones, have any PG stories to tell?
The emotions have started! Oh, the crying. Much more than with my first.
3. Are you cheating on any of the diet restrictions? E.g., taking a sip of alcohol, having some cold cuts, etc.?
I'm drinking more diet Pepsi than I did the first time around, but I didn't really drink any last time. Haven't cheated so far on anything else, don't think I will.
4. Non-PG question: What are you most excited about this holiday season?
Decorating, and seeing my son enjoy all the traditions.
2. Hit any PG milestones, have any PG stories to tell? Focusing all hope on hearing the HB on Thursday at first appt.
3. Are you cheating on any of the diet restrictions? E.g., taking a sip of alcohol, having some cold cuts, etc.? I have had sips of H's drinks. I also had a hot dog this last week which I didn't realize was a no-no until this thread. Oops.
4. Non-PG question: What are you most excited about this holiday season? Telling family about the baby!
1. 14w2d 2. Nothing really new, I have my next appointment on Thursday and I'm looking forward to hearing the heartbeat again. 3. I haven't cheated since just after I found out I was pregnant, we went to a party and I had some meat and cheese, after I ate it I realized what I had eaten and haven't touched any since. 4. I love all the decorations and the snow, as well as getting together with family. (well most of our family)

1. 16 weeks 2. I haven't thrown up in almost two weeks! I still get a little m/s from time to time but the days of throwing up everything I put in my mouth , multiple times a day seems to be over. Also, I have an appt this week that's called the gender sneak peek, so I'm assuming a u/s. 3. I've had a hot dog and and I try to get my subs from places that cook/grill/steam the meat but I've been eating more than my fair share of them and I do feel a tad guilty because of the nitrates ect. 4. It's our first Christmas in our new house so I'm looking forward to celebrating, decorating and hosting.
2. Hit any PG milestones, have any PG stories to tell? Start my weekly appointments this week!
3. Are you cheating on any of the diet restrictions? E.g., taking a sip of alcohol, having some cold cuts, etc.? Yes. I have a cup of coffee most mornings and occasionally have a turkey sub.
4. Non-PG question: What are you most excited about this holiday season? Other than possibly having a baby then ... going to DD's Christmas program at school, taking her to the Nutcracker, and starting some other holiday traditions with her.
1. How far along are you? 17 weeks 4 days 2. Hit any PG milestones, have any PG stories to tell? I think I am feeling the baby move this week! It's hard to tell sometimes, but I'm sitting here with my hand on my belly and I can feel little fluttery feelings and sometimes little taps. So exciting! 3. Are you cheating on any of the diet restrictions? E.g., taking a sip of alcohol, having some cold cuts, etc.? I'm not super restrictive with my diet. I take a sip of DH's beer once in a while and eat lunchmeat sandwiches (though never turkey - higher chance of listeria, according to some sources). I eat sushi from reputable places and I drink 1.5 - 2 cups of coffee every day. 4. Non-PG question: What are you most excited about this holiday season? Renting a beach house with my family for Christmas!
A little over 34 weeks. I can't believe how quickly this last bit of time is going.
2. Hit any PG milestones, have any PG stories to tell?
I bought a breast pump. Woohoo exciting. The sales woman sold my husband on the expensive kind even though I told him we didn't need it. But it's nice to see him want "the best" for me and the babe.
3. Are you cheating on any of the diet restrictions? E.g., taking a sip of alcohol, having some cold cuts, etc.?
Not really. I had a sip or two of 80 year old scotch in week like 10, but nothing since. I don't eat meat, so that cuts out a lot of need to cheat. I do still drink caffeine, but not to excess... so I don't think so.
4. Non-PG question: What are you most excited about this holiday season?
Snow! I miss snow! I know that's not a holiday thing, and sometimes we don't get any, and since I'm due in Jan, I shouldn't be excited for it, but I am!
2. Hit any PG milestones, have any PG stories to tell?
Halfway there! Anatomy scan tomorrow morning!
3. Are you cheating on any of the diet restrictions? E.g., taking a sip of alcohol, having some cold cuts, etc.?
Yes, with DS I'd have a glass of wine now and then (not often at all) but this time it tastes awful when I have a sip. I've had cold cuts, I don't even think about that one haha.
4. Non-PG question: What are you most excited about this holiday season?
DS really 'gets it' this year, it's fun watching him get excited! (He's 4)

1. How far along are you? 37+4
2. Hit any PG milestones, have any PG stories to tell? Started having some small contractions last night and off and on today. She needs to stay put until next Thursday's scheduled cs please and thank you. No regularity but definitely not Braxton hicks.
3. Are you cheating on any of the diet restrictions? A few jimmy johns subs early on when I needed to eat anything that sounds good. A soda almost every day, after being caffeine free for ages, go figure. Sips of wine here and there and a few mini pours, like 2 tablespoons.
4. Non-PG question: What are you most excited about this holiday season? I'm big on Christmas and DS is very much into it, so I'm trying my best to keep things normal for him.

1. How far along are you? 31 weeks 1 day 2. Hit any PG milestones, have any PG stories to tell? I think I am having BH contractions. H felt the baby hiccuping and he thought it was so cool, it was cute to see him laughing and smiling while feeling them. 3. Are you cheating on any of the diet restrictions? E.g., taking a sip of alcohol, having some cold cuts, etc.? I have been good. I haven't had any of that. I really want a sub with meat!! 4. Non-PG question: What are you most excited about this holiday season? I love being with my family, so that is what I am most excited about. I love having the tree up and lights on our fireplace, it's so cozy.

1. 10 +1 2. My nausea seems to be subsiding, and I've been a little crampy. Of course, I immediately think worst-case, but am doing okay calming myself down and reminding myself that my nausea wasn't that bad to begin with, and general crampiness is normal. Right? Right? M21 blood draw this week, too. 3. The only thing my doctor said to avoid was raw sushi, and I had a couple of pieces, but that's it. Well, and to limit caffeine, but I rarely drink it anyhow, so no biggie. 4. I, too, love all things Christmas (H & my birthdays are close to Christmas, too)! Right now, I'm most excited to get our tree - our first real one in a few years, and we're going BIG this year.
2. Was exactly 13 weeks on Thanksgiving and we called a bunch of family overseas to share the news.
3. I had two runny eggs at brunch a couple of weeks ago. Gasp! I don't eat a lot of cold cuts, so I'm not tempted. I've been dying for tuna sandwiches almost every day but I've held back and had maybe three in the last month. I'd drink coffee but the smell is revolting to me now. Haven't had any alcohol but I think I'll have some wine sips as I get farther along.
4. Just sharing the news with people over the holidays has made things pretty special this year.

1. How far along are you? 6 weeks and 1 day.
2. Hit any PG milestones, have any PG stories to tell? My cousin announced she is pregnant on Thanksgiving. She's a little over 7 weeks. I'm excited to be able to talk to her about pregnancy related things (once we announce to extended family, which will probably be around 12ish weeks).
3. Are you cheating on any of the diet restrictions? E.g., taking a sip of alcohol, having some cold cuts, etc.? I had a tiny sip (barely enough to actually swallow) of beer. So far all the no-no's don't even sound good. I imagine if/when they do, I may cheat once in awhile
4. Non-PG question: What are you most excited about this holiday season? Decorating our new house for Christmas, spending time with family, telling a few more people (grandparents) that I'm pregnant, and the food (hopefully I'll be able to eat more than toast by Christmas!).
2. Hit any PG milestones, have any PG stories to tell? I am starting to get a bump!
3. Are you cheating on any of the diet restrictions? E.g., taking a sip of alcohol, having some cold cuts, etc.? I have had sips of wine and beer and still eat raw sushi
4. Non-PG question: What are you most excited about this holiday season? Getting our tree
I think our regular poster is out today so I figured I would post today's thread.
1. How far along are you? Almost 7 weeks 2. Hit any PG milestones, have any PG stories to tell? Just feeling a bit queasy and obsessing over everything I eat. See below. 3. Are you cheating on any of the diet restrictions? E.g., taking a sip of alcohol, having some cold cuts, etc.? I cannot wait until my first ob appointment so I can have someone to pester with my questions. For example, at the restaurant tonight I ordered French onion soup. The cheese was pasteurized but after a few bites I realized it was certainly made with wine. I would like a medical professional to scoff at my concerns and tell me everything is fine. 4. Non-PG question: What are you most excited about this holiday season? Christmas Day with my inlaws. I am lucky and I love them!
Thanks for starting simpsongal, I had jury duty all day.
1. 24 weeks, 2 days 2. Had a 5.5 hour car ride this weekend and my back was killing me afterwards, definitely starting to get bigger. Am also feeling him more. 3. I've had some Jimmy Johns turkey sandwiches without heating them up, and a really small glass of champagne to celebrate my BILs engagement. 4. I love everything about the Christmas season- the lights and decorations, music, movies, buying gifts for my loved ones, and just the whole spirit of the season.

1. How far along are you? 20 weeks even, halfway there! 2. Hit any PG milestones, have any PG stories to tell? I've finally hit the "I look pregnant" stage instead of the "I'm chunky and frumpy" stage. :Y: Um, still gagging. :N: 3. Are you cheating on any of the diet restrictions? E.g., taking a sip of alcohol, having some cold cuts, etc.? I had some fish tartare on my birthday at the beginning of Nov. We were at a really nice restaurant and it sounded really good and I almost cried because I couldn't have it. MH is a nervous nelly and he reluctantly agreed. It was deeeelicous. 4. Non-PG question: What are you most excited about this holiday season? We are getting DS a play kitchen for his birthday and I think he's going to absolutely love it. I can't wait.
1. How far along are you? 7 weeks 2. Hit any PG milestones, have any PG stories to tell? None yet. 3. Are you cheating on any of the diet restrictions? E.g., taking a sip of alcohol, having some cold cuts, etc.? I shared 2 hot dogs with my H this weekend. 4. Non-PG question: What are you most excited about this holiday season? Visiting with family, especially my niece and nephew!
I think our regular poster is out today so I figured I would post today's thread.

Not a medical professional, but if the wine was cooked in (which it would have to be for a restaurant to serve it unless they card everyone who orders it that is not 21), the alcohol would have cooked out and just left you with the wine flavor.
Also, I have had two different ob/gyns for my two pregnancies and both said a glass of wine every now and then was fine. I am guessing that the small amount you had in the soup wasn't anywhere near equal to a glass.
1. I'm 8 weeks 6 days I think. 2. The extreme fatigue seems to have lifted somewhat. 3. I never lost my taste for coffee, but caffeine makes me feel like shit now. I'll drink decaf every so often. And I'm still drinking Diet Coke, though not a ton of it. I've eaten soft cheeses, but I've noticed on the packaging that it's difficult to find one that isn't pasteurized. Yay America! 4. I'm 12 weeks on Christmas Day (how's that for timing) so that will be when we tell our parents. It'll be a relief not to watch my tongue anymore.
