It started on Saturday with just a runny nose and slight fever. 99 no big deal.
Then yesterday he was cranky and sick but nothing too too bad. Overnight his fever spiked to 102. He was so congested and coughing that he actually would throw up.
So I got right in to the pedi this morning. His fever was 102.9! And his oxygen level was low. They did a breathing treatment there but it was still low. He sent us right to the hospital to get a chest x ray to rule out phenomena and try to get his oxygen back to normal. Basically he has RSV so upper resp. virus. No meds just has to run it's course. I have to give him breathing treatments ever four hours and control the fever and wait for it to pass. It's basically like this huge inhaler looking thing. I obviously can't send him to school so I'll be home w him for most of the week.
I'm so tired and just want him to even crack a little smile.
Eta: lol I just reread this. Holy typos. Sorry I'm on my phone.
I hope he feels better! The breathing treatments work really well, in 24 hours he will feel better. L had RSV about 1-2 months ago which caused us to get a nebulizer. We also have daily inhalers so if you have any questions let me know!
Does he have any wheezing that you can hear? Poor thing, it's terrible when they are coughing

Yeah especially when his fever was high. Then it got better when it went down. Thanks Katie, I'll let you know if I have questions!
