I'm on the train but musiclover saw me irl and I hope she can attest that they don't look gaudy or flashy at all.(Or even noticible) Look atyour ering and imagine something a little smaller on your ear. If $ wasn't an issue (which it is) I think 2 ct each would be amazing!

Hmm would I want a yellow gold setting? I wear a lot of gold jewelry. I feel like diamonds go best with platinum/white gold though. Actually, my e-ring is white gold and it has never bothered me so I don't think I'd want the platinum. I'd rather the extra money go back into the diamonds, lol.

These are 3 carat total weight and they don't even look that big on the ear. They are also $20k from blue nile. Out of my league! But, yea, I'd accept them as a gift
Well what the HELL is wrong with my wedding ring. It turns yellow all the damn time. It only takes like 6 months after I get it cleaned to turn yellow again. Maybe I am funky ((smells self))
One of my former coworkers had the same problem. Her white gold would not stay white. Something about her body chemistry.
That is not a 3 carat earing, no way. Maybe total weight. My center stone looks bigger than that and its under 3. For earings you don't need the best clarity and color like you would an ering.

You want to see it on an actual ear. They will make it look smaller so you buy bigger!

That's weird. I have never cleaned my engagement or wedding ring (shame on me!) and they are white gold and still white. I've worn them everyday for 5-6 years.

My husband's coworker's wife who we went on a work vacation with had these really big diamond earrings but they were pretty thin. I feel like they must have been cheaper than if it was like a soild diamond shaped diamond. Hard to explain but I liked them.

I would like that. I think larger ones look good from the front, but I don't like how far them stick out when you look from the side.
