I'm starting to breathe like Tony Soprano (RIP J. Gandolfini), particularly at night.
I'm also reaching a more "pronounced" pregnancy stage. So when people ask when I'm due, I can tell they expect me to say "any day or 1 week." The bump will get bigger people.
I also had 3 in-depth discussions about BFing with coworkers before noon today. :?

I have also reached that pronounced stage haha. I have never really had stranger comments before but now I can feel eyes on my belly and looks of pity lol.
My "morning sickness" did not return as I feared, but I have barely been able to eat since then. I have no appetite and every time I eat something small I feel like my stomach is going to explode, and I'm mildly nauseous all day. Any sort of pressure on my stomach or bending over is also kind of painful.

Bending over the bump is awful! I can still bend at the knees fine, but just reaching down to pick up my pup's rope for a game of tug is a struggle. FWIW, my appetite is getting smaller too. There's just no room. I didn't eat dinner last night.

I think I had my first "real" contractions last night. They started in my back and wrapped around to my stomach - the pain in my back was intense -- They were every 1-3 min for about 45 min, then just totally quit. Dang it.
OB appt today at 3:15. I don't think I'm going to ask her to check me. Last week was disappointing, and I don't want to feel like that again. Plus, there is really no point in being checked. I want to go to the hospital when I'm actually in labor. I don't want her to admit me just bc I'm 5cm dilated (or whatever her rule of thumb is). The shortest amount of time I'm there, the better. After this $764 bill for an ultrasound & 15 minutes of monitoring, I'm not trying to hang out at the hospital.
Maybe some more sex tonight.. the sex last night seemed to jump start those contractions.. plus it's a full moon
ETA: We got my home office all set up. Originally we were going to put it upstairs, but decided that downstairs would be better. There is more room downstairs, and it kind of makes it feel more office-like instead of just being in another room in my house. ---- We have a 400sqft apt in our garage that my Dad lived in for a few years - but since he moved out it's been a junk room. We finally cleaned it out and now it's my office. It's a pretty sweet deal.

I had contractions every 15-20 mins yesterday from like 2pm- 12:30am. It was awful. I wish my body would just make up its mind. I have a Dr's appt today and hopefully he will sweep my membranes.

That is torture! What a long time to have contractions, but not close enough to go to the hospital! Fingers crossed they strip your membranes today! (I will remember you are in CA so I won't ask about your appt until later. )

I found at this point getting on all fours and doing some slow cat cows really relived the pressure on my back and took away some of the nauseous feeling.
I've been feeling more pressure and some contractions today, I take this as progress. I'm ok not going into full on labor today, but I very much appreciate the progress. I have my OB appointmnet on Thursday and I really only want to hear good news after the internal exam!
I'm not making any progress I go back on Friday to check again. She said she won't induce me if there's no progress. After Friday my options are to wait it out or get a c-section. She thinks the baby is about 9ibs by now and the head is measuring pretty far ahead so I could end up with a c-section regardless. It' just a very tough decision to make, I have to discuss more with DH later.

Oh no! Fingers crossed you have some progress between now & Friday.
I have a giant fear that this kid is going to be huge. I have no reason to think this, except I think the longer she camps out in there, the bigger is gets.

Yeah I can't ignore the facts. I know everyone says "oh you can deliver a baby x size and not even tear", but I feel like I have to do what I think is best. My intuition is leaning towards c-section, but I may not get a chance to decide.
We had a staff meeting at work yesterday and were joking around about pregnancy things, I am the last person to have a baby. They started talking about false labor and for some unknown reason my big mouth talked about people who pee their pants and think they are in labor. Everyone laughed and kept talking about it but I have felt silly all day. I am at my other office today at least.
Hehe, I think these boards make you forget your filter when talking to IRL people and CWs. I've totally done the same thing. Like, maybe talking about my MS in detail or body changes is not work appropriate conversation? Then again, see my initial post about ladies cornering me about BFing.
annabear07 that's good advice about cat & cow. I just got back from a yoga class. Holy cow - it was night and day from the class I did a couple weeks ago. I'm lumbering around so inelegantly and the bump makes so many postures impossible (e.g., lunges w/o splaying your forward knee to the side). I definitely felt some interesting stretching during cat & cow and cobra/upward dog. I should keep doing it between now and the end -- you know, keep joints open & lubed up.
I know my baby has technically already arrived, but I feel like I can't leave this board since she still had 6 more weeks before she was supposed to get here. I am sitting at home and she isn't even here with me, so it's like I never left Got Pregnant...
I have to write the thank you notes from the baby shower last month. Totally dreading that task. We have to get our Christmas cards out too.
We will go visit our baby at the Intermediate Nursery when my husband gets home from work. Yesterday when we went, they let us hold her for 40 minutes which was awesome because the nurse was busy feeding the other 3 babies in her care. It was fun to hold her and talk to her for the first 10 minutes, but then I ran out of things to tell her after 20 minutes. Today I would like to pick up a Christmas story book and read it to her when we go visit. Or I might try to get over feeling shy about singing to her and just softly sing some Christmas tunes.
I still have some thank you notes to write too. Sometimes I make a bullet point list of personal things to say in people's notes (aside from mentioning the gift). That's a good starting place if you're having trouble getting started.

DH is worried about the fact that I've been snoring more (though I got a mouthguard that has actually been helping with that, I've always been a snorer) and I'm breathing shallowly in my sleep. I don't feel short of breath, nor do I feel like I'm going to pass out. I'm pretty sure it's normal at this stage in the game. It's sweet he's worried about the baby getting enough oxygen, but I really don't think it's anything to worry about if I'm not feeling like I'm going to pass out or anything.
I've told DH, however, that I will ask at my appointment on Friday.

I snore now too, I don't think it's a sign of anything.
I am currently sitting at the dermatologist office and I am probably the youngest here by 40 years. I really need it to be Thursday! We finally close on our house! Then I can start my nesting
My day has been pretty meh. I've been having this annoying stabbing in my buttcheek (pregnancy is literally a pain in the ass right now). I haven't worked out in several days and I'm grouchy. My midwife recommended seeing a chiro which I'm headed to in a bit...I hope they can make it go away! I guess I have made it to 30+ weeks without any real physical ailments so I can't complain too much, but this ass pain sucks.

I'm snoring a bit too. Part of it is pregnancy congestion and dry air. DH wakes me up and tells me to stop snoring. Around 3am I bitterly replied "I'm carrying an extra 25 pounds and I can't roll on my stomach, what do you want me to do?" DH treated me with kid gloves when we woke up in the morning

Count me in the snoring group, too. There have been several times I've snored so loudly that I've woken myself up
I'm in a love/hate relationship with maternity pants right now. I love how stretchy they are, and no zippers are so convenient, but they will NOT stay in place! They are all different brands, too, so I don't think it's just one crappy type. It was obnoxious enough when they would slide down during the summer or fall, but now that we've officially entered the snowy, slushy winter, several inches of my pant legs are constantly dragging through icy puddles every time I'm outside. That wicks the water halfway up my calf, which takes forever to dry and leaves a nice salty ring on them once they finally dry. I miss belts.
I had a growth US yesterday evening. Everything seemed fine, but the tech asked a few different times when my next dr. appointment is. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but now I'm freaked out that she saw something that the dr. will need to talk to me about. The baby is head down, and the head was nestled up against the placenta when she tried to do a 3D US, so maybe the placenta is too low? It's probably nothing, but it's going to be a long wait until my appointment next week.

I've been told I snore now too but I refuse to believe him.
I just got home from the dr and I have no change from last week. I did start having some contractions and he was able to feel it and he said if pain gets to be too much go to the hospital.
The only good thing about this appt was I lost 3lbs

Me too. Both docs said sciatica. It sucks- I can barely walk and grimace Anytime I move my right leg. I was trying to be better and walk a few miles a couple of times a weeks but now I can barely hobble anywhere
humpforfree - Did any of the docs give you any recommendations to help relieve it, or are you just stuck with it? Ugh, I'm only having it intermittently, I can't imagine feeling like this every time I move.
I got "adjusted" at the chiro but it still feels twingy. Not sure I'm buying that this will help but I guess I will go back again.

I had a similar stabbing pain. It would come & go.. It would be bad for a few days, nearly knocking me down- them it would disappear for weeks. It's been awhile since I've had it happen again.
Fingers crossed your stabby butt pain goes away quickly!

Pretty much just stuck with it. He said some Tylenol but obviously no anti inglammatories so who knows how much Tylenol will do. Since it just depends on how I move, I don't want to stay hopped up on Tylenol all the time. Other than that... He said so don't what aggrevates it- lol no walking or standing anymore! He did say it might go away as things adjust and/or the baby moves.
