He was in the hospital for 10 days and he just couldn't fight the infection he had. He had Parkinson's and Leukemia too. I'm heartbroken he'll never get to meet Harper.
On a side note, we've had her name picked out since 18 weeks, and have told it to everyone. I can't tell you how many people have asked if we're going to name her after my Dad. Sorry, but his name was Max, and I'm not naming my kid Maxine. Plus, he knew her name, so I'm not going to change it now. Felt good to get that out.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure he was so excited and I totally agree that you should stick with the planned name. Take care of yourself, this must be so difficult.

I am so sorry. Take care of yourself and Harper, hard as that may be.
We considered changing DD's middle name in honor of FiL when he passed away the day before my csection but also opted to keep the name we had already chosen.
I am so sorry for your loss. My dad passed away in 2011, and it makes me so sad that my kids will never know him. He was one of the best people I knew. (hug)lauren (hug2)

I am so sorry for your loss.
My dad passed away when I was 8 months pregnant with DS. I was concerned about the emotions of the process putting me into labor. I spoke with my ob and he told me that my body will take care of my baby, not to worry about that. He also said it put me at a higher risk for ppd. He was right on both accounts and I was thankful for the information. I did have a mild case of ppd and was very proactive about treatment. I hope this isn't the case for you, but it is worth mentioning to your ob what happened.
