I hope the PIPs are not too big (sorry!). I went for a gender neutral approach since this will be our nursery for future children and hopefully a guest room one day. Some details -walls are stencilled with a design from Cutting Edge Stencils -pale mint Behr paint over Martha Stewart metallic in bone -I made the curtains, cornice, and canopy from linen fabric (Joann's) -The dresser and mirror was mine as a little girl, I just gave it a fresh coat of paint -Rug is wool, from Overstock -Crib is the Arlington model from Franklin & ben -there's a ceiling fans that may not have made the pics -the watercolors are prints from an artist on etsy -we replaced the doors & hardware throughout the house, so those are new too -glider is from a local furniture store & ottoman is from Target.
The one thing I didn't get done was crown molding - there's always maternity leave

Wow I can't get over how much I love this. You did a beautiful job! I think the walls are amazing, and the prints are so sweet. The cabinet in the closet seems like a great idea too. On a side note I wanted one of those giant giraffes SO badly.
I love it!!! I need to ask about the walls! What color did you do first, mint or silver?
the opposite of what you would expect. The metallic is the base and the mint goes overtop. It worked out bc the Martha metallic paint is a nightmare to work with (I would never want to stencil with it). I still need to finish some of the corners.
I love it! How long did the stenciling take? I want to do a stencil on one wall but I've never done it before and I've heard it takes forever. My stencil is pretty large though.

. It took a whole like 6 weekends? Maybe more. It's the cleaning that takes a while. After 4-5 feet you have clean the stencil bc you lose the sharp line from paint build up. Cleaning it is a major pita (30-40 minutes)

Ugh, I figured. I thought I'd probably work on it little by little. I'm just doing one wall though, not the whole room like you did. It's kind of a starburst pattern so I might do small bits of it here and there on the other walls, I haven't decided.

go for it! Definitely follow stencil guidance like using a high density foam roller. Roll off paint on a papertowel so it is almost dry. I also used a light stencil adjesive. It helps but doesn't prevent all bleeding.

I've seen where people use a roller or those stencil sponge things, but mine is so big that I really think a roller would be best. Then if I do bits and pieces on the other walls I can do a sponge.
