why am i getting so many pimples?

the cystic ones, that hurt so bad. there are a couple on my cheek and now i am getting one on my chin.

the one on my chin feels like it has so much pressure and it just aches.

positive. i've got a mirena and haven't had sex in a while.

though, now that i think about it, i am about to get my mirena replaced (the 5 years are almost up)...i wonder if the has something to do with it?

Have you been outside a lot lately? I always break out in the summer in the heat from sweating. When I get home from errands, swimming whatever I clean my face immediately. Sorry the hurt like a bitch!!!

Sea Breeze astringent the blue one really works to clear those bastards up. Just make sure after it dries you put moisturizer on.

Mine are always hormonal around the time of my period. I use the proactive sulfur mask and leave it on over night. It takes a few days but they go away.

You also might want to get yourself some makeup base with salcylic acid in it. Neutrogena makes one that I use when I have a break out.

I feel your pain. I have one in the corner of my lip that gets stabby every time I yawn or talk or eat. Hate. I'm pretty sure mine are sweat related. It's supposed to hit 100 here today

The hormones in the Mirena are designed to last five years, so that could contribute. The efficacy as a method of birth control will still be excellent, though. I believe (though this is a decade old piece of information) that the Mirena is approved for use in Europe for 7 years instead of 5.

I had a Mirena, had it taken out, had a baby, and then got another one. Everything was fine for awhile (maybe 1.5 years) and then all of a sudden, I was one big pimple. They were all over my forehead, back, and chest. It was the worst acne I had ever had. I had the Mirena taken out and it all went away. Sucks because I really liked the convenience of the Mirena but not if it was going to make me feel like a 12 year old!

I kept getting the awful cystic ones for a while and found out I'd developed food allergies and intolerances.

Mine wasn't dairy, but I've heard that's a common trigger for a lot of people.
