I've been to 32 states. I'd like to get to all 50, but I'm not sure it's on my bucket list. My rule is that you need to be on the ground. Airports don't count, but driving through does. I was only in Arizona for about ten minutes when we went to the Hoover Dam. We drove from Las Vegas, but purposely parked on the Arizona side.

Yes- it's on my bucket list. I have actually visited about 20 already, and have just "driven thru" some others. I'm not sure if I'll make all 50 though, because I don't really have a desire to go to Hawaii. Unless someone sends me there for some reason, I can't see myself buying tickets for us to go there. BTW- Alaska was my favorite state so far!
For those that have been to all the Canadian provinces, what things do you recommend doing? I've been to Vancouver and Toronto so far.
We went up to Alberta last fall. Calgary is nice, but then we drove to Banff- beautiful. Then we drove the Icefield Parkway up to Jasper- and it was absolutely breathtaking! The mountains are so gorgeous, I just couldn't get enough of the scenery. We took about 8 hours to drive ~ 120 miles, just because there were so many beautiful places to stop and take pictures. I highly recommend it!

I've heard about Banff, but not Jasper. Thanks for the tip, I will have to do some research. I love seeing new places and photography is a side hobby of mine, so that would be cool
I've been to somewhere around 30 (too lazy to check right now). I'd like to get to all 50 with DH. He hasn't been to a few that I've been to and vice versa. We've driven from MI to FL and MI to CA and CA to AZ so we've hit up quite a few that way, and we only count ones we actually did something in - not just being in an airport.
I would love to visit the Canadian provinces. I don't know if I could visit them all, but given the opportunity, I would. I have nothing to recommend from direct experience as I have only been to Sault Ste. Marie but I've heard a lot about various parts of Canada. There's a lot that I would love to see.

We did both last year and while they were both beautiful, we thought Jasper blew Banff out of the water. The views were pretty similar but Jasper was so much less crowded. Highly recommended

I'm at 31. It's not a huge priority of mine to get to all the states. Washington and a few of the northeast states are the only ones I'm missing that I really want to see. I've still got plenty of things I want to see in states I've already "checked off."
That said, H and I do have a friendly competition going to see who can get in the most states.

I've been to 37 states. I use both world66.com and mosttraveledpeople.com to track my travel online. At home, I also have two maps, one world and one of the US, on which I pin places I've been and highlight road trips.
As a non-American, I have two bucket lists - every land in Europe and every state in the USA (because I travel to the USA for work). I've been to Virginia, Pennsylvania, California, Texas and Florida, just booked a hotel in NYC (first time with new-york.hotelscheap.org/, hope everything turns alright, they were cheap ). But I somehow feel more joy visiting new countries in Europe, everything is so unique there, although the States have a lot to offer too.
