That's very sweet, vtdiamond! What restaurant is it?
We planned to go out for dinner in the neighborhood tomorrow night instead (Foundry on Elm), but decided to go to Border Cafe for dinner tonight too because yum. Also, because nothing says romance like smelling like Tex Mex for the rest of the night!
Eastern Standard!
Border Cafe sounds delicious and fun way to celebrate V-Day!
We're being ridiculously MM and I think we'll end up staying in and having leftovers. We have a fridge full of food from the week and I'll be leaving for the next 4 days for a work trip which means all of that food will stay there cause H is terrible at managing leftovers. I don't mind, I'll even be excited to go to bed early (have to be out the door at 5am for my flight).

Haha, so true! Their tortilla chips are worth stinking for, though. Heh.
We're staying in tonight with some Trader Joe's apps. We made reservations for tomorrow night at Campania in Waltham, which I am very much looking forward to.
Happy Valentines! I got DH a card and we are staying in and making pizza tonight and we rented a movie. The tickets to the beanpot Monday were his gift, they are every year. He usually gets me flowers or something. I have Monday off and he had to go to Freeport ME for work so we are doing a day trip there on Monday too.

Going anywhere fun or warm??
Fun and warm! The conference is in San Diego which according to my weather app says it'll be much warmer then it is out here (low 70's to mid 60s) and fun cause I've never been to CA before. I'll have some time to kill on Tuesday too as the conference ends at noon but my flight isn't til 10pm that night so I plan to do a bit of sight seeing.
We're an old married couple, so we're staying in. I'm making fish cakes for dinner and we have a lava cake from TJs in the freezer. Very MM! I hate going out on V day because restaurants are always crazy and they rush you out.
Tomorrow we're going to see Alton Brown in Worcester! I'm so excited. We bought the tix last fall for our little V day treat. I'm bummed it is going to snow though and hope the roads aren't too dicey since we have to drive there and back. H wanted to stay in a hotel but I didn't think it was worth it. Now I kind of wish we did!

Oooh fun, I went to a conference out in San Diego last December and it was gorgeous! The convention center is right on the water and there was a nice pathway around there. It's also within walking distance of the gas light district which has a ton of restaurants and shops. I had a blast there, have fun!!

I am very anti Valentine's Day. We don't really celebrate it. We've also gone out to eat a million times over the past couple weeks, so we need to cool it. The fact that it is on a Friday this year means restaurants will be even busier than normal. I'd rather go out to a nice dinner a different night.
I think my H will probably pick up something a bit fancier than normal for dinner while he's out making sales calls, but other than that, nothing. I've been exhausted this week for some reason, so we'll probably cook dinner, and go to sleep early. BORING
I woke up to a card that sings and moves from Elijah. J took his hand and actually had him write out "I love you mommy" and his name. It's so sloppy and cute. We didn't get each other anything.
J has to meet a client in Plymouth tonight. I thought about going to the Olive Garden since it is next to where they are meeting (shut up-- I like the breadsticks), but now that I remembered it is a holiday we probably won't. E and I will probably just go to Target or something while he is at his meeting.
We are going to the Capital Grill on Sunday, but more for the meat than to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Aww, that's sweet, scm1011! And good luck finding a card! I actually just had to run to CVS, so I went to the small (extra annoying) one in the Square, because I knew the other one would be mobbed at lunch time, and the one near my house would be a zoo at 5 o'clock.
I also got H his favorite dessert from Finale for tonight, because he not only shoveled the entire driveway yesterday (because our landlord's wife doesn't know how to use the snowblower, and told H "I have 4 wheel drive" as she flounced back in the house, grrrrr...), but he got up at 6:30 this morning to clear off the end of the driveway and then shoveled out my parking space.
Happy Valentines Day! FI is working 12 hour night shifts this week, so when he's not working he's sleeping. Next weekend we're going to visit his mother so we're pretty much skipping celebrating this year.
I however have a super hot date with my couch, the new season of House of Cards, and my favorite bottle of wine tonight. (devil)
5kcandlesinthewind, doing all the shoveling/plowing is the best gift H could give me, LOL! He took care of all it last night while I was on my way home AND then he made dinner afterwards. High fives for both of them!
Right?!? I tried to help him this morning, but he wouldn't let me.
And we just canceled our dinner reservations for tomorrow. The weather report freaked me out. If we could get there without me driving, then I would have kept them. But it's no fun to go out to dinner and not even be able to have a glass of wine. Womp womp. At least the landlord will be back and can snowblow us out on Sunday if it's really bad.
DH had to work today, but I had today off and headed to Ragged Mountain with a few friends. I came downstairs to find a card, flowers, necklace and a box of (hilarious) chocolates. Throughout the morning I kept finding those small boxes of conversation hearts -- in my jacket... in my car... in my ski boot! He went overboard this year, lol.
Skiing was GREAT today. There was so much fresh powder in the glades. It was up to my knees in some places. I got stuck a few times because there was so much snow it stopped my skis completely and then I tipped over into a pile of fluff... darn gravity!
DH and I decided to head to the local seafood joint for dinner and enjoyed a pile of fried seafood and fish chowder in a bread bowl. mmmm. Now I just want to go to sleep. It's been a long day!

We ran to target at luch to get the kids stuff before svhool let out. Like 10 of ou doing the dame thing I cleaned all night and everyone aye leftover pasta from last night. Excitement!
Lilac: that's so cute! I love it! And I'm slightly jealous!
We went to see Alton Brown Live last night in Worcester and OMG it was AMAZING!!!! Alton is so funny and so talented. I seriously almost fell out of my seat laughing so hard! It was by far the best show we have been to in a while. We didn't really know what to expect, but we both love him and it was way better than I could have imagined! I'm so glad we went. We were nervous about driving in the snow storm, but it wasn't too bad. Great night! If he comes back to Boston I would see him again in a minute.
Oh and during the show he made carbonated chocolate ice cream (using a fire extinguisher!) and "lobsta" pizza in his MEGABAKE oven (his grown up easy bake oven!). So jealous of the audience participants that got to help and eat them!
