Still waking DS every 3 hours to eat and the sleep deprivation is catching up with me. And his latch is so horrible that I end up crying every time. We try to relatch a dozen times, which just makes me hurt worse. Every single time we see a lactation consultant (we're up to 3 of them now), he latches well at least once. Just can't get it right at home very often. Plus the poor guy has a yeast diaper rash. Not sure if it's bothering him, or just making more work for us.
I'm sorry you're having so much pain. I know you've seen 3 LCs, but did they check him for tongue/lip tie?
DD had a lip tie- we had it revised, which hasn't helped the pain at all. But I have heard from other mamas that they had better luck after revision.
She didn't get to nap much today; MIL came over and just had to hold dd the entire time. She will sleep while being held, but not well. Then we went out to dinner at hooters (lol) and it was super packed and loud. She melted down while we were there. I took her out to the truck and nursed her until DH finished up. We were with my family so I didn't rush him out of the restaurant.
She passed out cold within 10 min of being home.
Now I'm pumping in the a dark so she doesn't wake up.
that amazing! DS did 6.5 Friday night but he went to bed so early we only enjoyed sleeping for 4 of those hours. He used to go to bed later, but now he's decided earlier (too early is better). We can't win lol.
AJ was up for the day and ready to party at 830, but didn't really crank up the pissed off noises until 9 so that's when I got up. Now hes the happiest baby ever, despite the uncharacteristic wakeups. I'm blaming the one tooth poking through and the other one about to poke through...because I need something to blame.

Funny story! He had a tongue tie cut by an ENT at 5 days old. This was after an LC and our pediatrician looked and said they 'weren't sure' if it was a tongue tie. So the pedi referred us to the ENT. Then this past Friday, LC #3 found a lip tie. It's under the top front lip and looks pretty severe. So I will be calling the ENT first thing tomorrow!
So thanks for mentioning it considering if I never said anything no one would have checked. I don't understand why no one has checked out his whole mouth so we could handle it all at once either.
But yea, the tongue clip didn't help much, so I'm trying to not get my hopes too high that the next one will help a ton. He has latched correctly before so I know it's possible ... but only once every 10 times or so. MAYBE it will help!

Oh my! How frustrating! I also don't understand why their mouths aren't checked since these problems seem to be so common!
