If you EBF, when was your first PP period?

Yes, I'd just weaned and figured it was coming

This time I got an iud and have had spotting off and on for 7 mos.

2) Was it horrible? Not especially. Cramps have been milder since pre-pregnancy, flow heavier, but the whole thing is shorter. 
3) Did you feel it coming on or did it surprise you? For a few months before it returned I would get PMS symptoms but no period. Then one of those times, the period also showed up. So, I think my body was warming up in those preceding months.

1) 14 months pp (around the time we dropped from 3 to 2 feeds)
2) The first one was really really heavy, like changing super absorbant pads every 2 hours heavy. After that they were a bit heavy but much more normal.
3) Complete surprise. I never had any warning before though either.

First one was very light and short, since then they have been hevier than pre pg, but no cramps.

5 months PP. I was pissed! I was hoping to not have one for a long time (I had Mirena after DD1, so I didn't get one)

It was heavy, but I have a Paragard IUD, so I expected that.

I was surprised!

2) Nope, it was like my old pre-pregnancy periods which weren't horrible.

3) Total shock, I had nothing with me at work and had to go buy pads and underwear during my break. No periods for a while is yet another lie about BFing for me (see also: magic weight loss). Yes, I'm bitter.

And I thought maybe I wouldn't get period #2 for a while at least but nope, today it came 31 days after the first.

3. No, I had stopped pumping 2-3 weeks earlier and was just nursing at wake up and bedtime so I expected it to return any day.

Are you sure? I read that a lot of women can get pp bleeding after they think it's all over.

Either way it sucks.

This happened to me too, it was around 5 or 5.5 weeks pp

I don't remember with DD. With DS this week @ 7.5 months. I'm also have Mirena so I really wasn't expecting it. Heavier than with Mirena before but not painful.

Oh man, that really sucks!

I keep thinking my period is coming, cramps and whatnot, but nothing yet.

It wasn't pleasant...definitely heavier than my normal. (I just got mine a week ago so it's very clear in my mind).
I felt it coming...I had signs of ovulation 2wks prior & some cramps just prior.

12 months almost to the day.

Nope wasn't horrible-resumed as normal.

This time around:

14 months

Not too bad. Has also gone back to 28-30 day cycles.

It wasn't horrible, and my cycles were pretty regular.

Totally caught me by surprise. It was a sad day. I enjoyed my 25 months without it.

With dd1 I can't remember but didn't bf.

This time with dd2, I still haven't had a return and she's 4.5mths old. And she's been down to just 1 feed each day for nearly a month now. But I reckon it's in it's way... EWCM has been observed... And I'm not on any contraception.

I will add that while the first few weren't bad, they've been pretty bad since then - very very heavy.  Much shorter than before, but very heavy.  hate it.
