I have a tramp stamp. I want to get my maiden name, in my dad's handwriting, on my wrist, but I read on GBCN that wrist tattoos are the new tramp stamps, so I am rethinking this.
ETA: @rennido - You have exactly what I want!
I love it. It did bleed (the ink)a little bit (in the creases). It has significance to me, I wanted to be able to see it every day.
This is what I think I would do. The pain holds me back though. How long did it take to do yours? Did you have to go back for a touch up?

I have 4. A butterfly on my left shoulder (regret it completely- I was 16), a tramp stamp (don't really regret it, but don't love it) my grandmother's and my zodiac symbol with a sun around it on my right hip (love it), and a shamrock on my left foot (like the look of it but hate that I can't cover it).
I got every one between 16-19. I think that's the biggest issue. I love tattoos but some of them have no meaning. Also, like PP's, I like to be able to cover them completely at work and I can't with the foot tattoo.
I want to do a cover piece on my butterfly- I plan on doing it next summer. DH hates tattoos, but my argument is that I'm not adding one just replacing the one I don't like.

I have two. One is a larger floral piece on my back. I call it my tramp stamp turned billboard. The second is on the top of my foot. It's a tribute to my grandma, it's a copy of of a painting my grandma did with her signature. She was so proud of it.
I have one, which usually surprises most people. It's small and not even visible if I have a bikini on. I got it during spring break freshman year and while I don't love it, it doesn't bother me enough to have it removed.

2- a "tramp stamp" of a Jesus fish/Ichthys. The second is on my upper ankle/lower calf and is the Virginia tech logo and memorial ribbon. Both obviously have a lot of meaning to me. I have several more that is want to get still.
I have Faith on my wrist. I Love it. At first I thought maybe it was too big but I don't care anymore. I've only had it for a few months. My work doesn't care but if I wear a watch you don't notice it too much.

I don't have any. Since I'm too chicken to even get my ears pierced I think it will be a long time before I get one if ever.
When I was going through a cancer scare over a year ago I thought about getting the scar from the lumpectomy covered up with a pink/purple ribbon combination (pink for breast cancer, purple for domestic violence) but 1) I luckily didn't have cancer, 2) you can't really impulse tattoo on a still healing incision and apparently scars are really nasty to work on and get it right, and 3)I decided I don't want to permanently mark and define myself by the worst moments and hardest struggles but rather by my best moments and greatest triumphs. If I got it, I'd have to be completely topless for it to be seen bikini/bra would cover it.
My BFF has a few tattoos and they are beautiful and meaningful, but she isn't as happy with them now as she was when she first got them. Hearing her say that she didn't like them as much and knowing how dramatically I have changed in the last decade makes me wonder if I will ever have something in my life that would be as permanent as a tattoo and therefore deserve it.
I have a Chinese dragon on my lower back. No regrets, but I do wish it was a bit smaller (it's about 6 inches high). It didn't have any particular meaning when I got it - I just liked it - but my daughter was born during the year of the dragon, so that's a nice coincidence. Here's hoping the next kid doesn't expect one for his/her birth year
I'm tattoo free. I debated getting on in college, but DH talked me out of it. I'm sure college me would have chosen something I'd be regretting 15 years later, so the decision not to get it was probably a good one for me.
I have one tattoo, on my back. It's a crescent moon and I got it when I graduated college. Sometimes I forget I have it, lol, until one of the girls says something about it. I haven't had it retouched ever, probably should though. I don't regret it, and have been thinking about getting another of the birthflowers of all 3 girls.

I have a tattoo that's basically on my right upper butt/lower back. You can only see a small part of it when I'm wearing a bikini. I got it in memory of my mom and thought about it for a long time first, and I have no regrets. I'd like to get another one for my dad (still living, but ya know, I love him too!) and connect it. I'm pretty much decided on what I want but haven't yet pulled the trigger, although I feel like it may be relatively soon.
Mine is small and most just black lines, so it only took about 20 min. In terms of where to put it, I'll say that the parts on fatty areas didn't hurt at all. The parts right on my the back of my pelvis were very painful. I like the look of tattoos on ribcages, for example, and those are easy to hide, but I don't know if I could deal with the pain.
I have three. One on my ankle, one on my lower back and one on my side. The lower back one I would like to have turned into a more meaningful tattoo. I'm not sure what yet though.
