Is MasterCard accepted many places internationally?
Generally, yes (I've never found a place that would accept Visa but not Mastercard), although there are places where it is less commonly accepted than Visa (and I believe vice versa). So if you travel a lot it makes sense to have at least one of each.
Susie, I have a Chase Freedom in my name with H as an authorized user. H has the Chase Sapphire Preferred in his name with me as an authorized user. We were able to get the sign-up bonus when H got the CSP last year, and we are able to transfer points between the two accounts.
I also have the costco amex that I only use there, now.
Tell me about the Costco Amex. I know it gives cash back and can be used at costco. So lets say we are preferred members (or whatever gives you cash back on purchase for more annual membership fees), do we still get that cash back and the Amex cash back? So, would I be double dipping on my Costco purchases?

From the card itself, you get:
3% back from gas purchases 2% on restaurants and travel 1% on everything else
Then since it's linked w/ the executive membership, you also get your 2% back on purchases through your exec membership (I think?).
Awesome! A little bit ago I looked it up, and yes, you can double dip. That is, you get 2% from executive plus an addition 1% from the card. So 3% total on what you buy at costco.
