I wouldn't care one way or the other. But I also recently had full on nip and ass hanging out in front of a male photographer. As long as it's a professional doing their job, I don't care.
My worst massage ever (which was a free 15 minute deal) was with this hippy dippy man who actually aggravated several of my injuries, and my best massage ever was with a big bear of a man who just happened to be available. His hands were so big it was like I was getting twice the massage at the same price. He sadly was too far away to book regularly.
I've also had a crazy intense massage by a 5 foot tall woman who couldn't have been more than 90lbs soaking wet. This was at a massage school's clinic and she got so deep into my muscles I thought her hand was going to come popping through the other side of me.

I don't mind having a man do the massage. I had a heavy mouth breather once who was a woman and it was so distracting. That's the worst massage experience I've had.
I've had good massages from both men and women. However, the most FANFUCINGTASTIC massage I've ever had was from a woman who is legally blind. I guess this falls in line with when you lose one of your senses, the others heighten. She was amazing, and so in tune with what my body needed.

I recently got a massage from a woman who was legally blind. It wasn't the best ever, but she was clearly less concerned about my privacy than other therapists, which allowed her to really dig into my glutes. It was pretty great actually.
I am not against the idea, but then I think of the logistics and I get a little weirded out. Like, there is a certain physical closeness that I'm comfortable with when it's a woman, but might have my guard up when it's a man. This would make it hard for me to relax.
I realize this is stupid, and the man is just as professional as a woman, but it's just a little intimate for me. I have no issue with male drs, but then again, I don't go to the dr to relax.
Well, the first thing he did was massage my back while standing in front of my head, and his junk was fully pressed into my hands as he leaned to do my back. I was just kind of frozen and didn't move a muscle... it was just really weird. So from now on I will ask for a female.
i have read this about a dozen times and still can't stop laughing at it
I used to go very often and just went with whoever was available. UNTIL, I got this creepy dude who touched me inappropriately (don't want to go into too much detail here). In my head, I wasn't sure if I was making a mountain out of molehill until a young relative told me the story about how one of her friends went to my same place, got the same guy, and he was inappropriate with her. I finally had the nerve to contact the place and told them my story. The owner of the store called me back and apologized and let me know that masseuse had been recently been fired due to his behavior.
I'm a little gun-shy to go back to a male now. I hate that he ruined that experience for me because I have to schedule around women being available for my appointment times now.
