I am 36 weeks 4 days. So I went in for my monitoring yesterday morning and the baby's heart rate dropped when I had my first contraction. It stabilized so they said they just wanted me to come back tomorrow to do an extra round of monitoring.
I then had some lunch with my girlfriend. Then laid down to take a nap. I woke up with a weird pain in my stomach so I got up and my water broke! I was super surprised because it never broke with DS despite 28 hours of labor.
We went to the hospital and since I ate lunch I had to wait until 6 hours had passed from the time I ate for them to do the c -sec.
By 5:15 I was in the OR and at 5:47 pm, Louis Blake LastName was born! He weighs 6 pounds and 7 ounces and is 19 inches long. All was good even though he is technically premature by a few days - no NICU visit at all and he gets to sleep in my room. He has eaten twice for about 10 minutes each time .
DS already met him. He came to the hospital after his baseball game last night. His teammates signed and dated a baseball from the game for Louis.
Guess I don't have to worry about contractions anymore!
